  1. What cabinet were you using with it? I'm after a sort of mid range amp that can provide a good tone just for house use really. Play mainly Maiden, Metallica generally metal and rock plus a bit of RHCP funky, slapping type stuff etc
  2. Hi, Just wondering if you still had the amp for sale?
  3. If only I'd waited, the damage's done now lol. Need to give it to someone who knows what they're doing to have a look at
  4. ah right I never noticed that, just saw the combo near the top of the page.
  5. I would but the buddy selling it is in Yorkshire and I'm just short of Glasgow. The classified sections on this forum are torture for me, so much great stuff but too far away lol
  6. yeah because I can see the screw turning, but it's its as if it's just grinding against the hole at the bottom of the bridge, it's certainly not moving the saddle. Scared I break it.
  7. Tried loosening the screw on top and then turning the screw next to the string and it's not making a difference. It's just the G that needs adjusting. Doesn't matter if I loosen or tighten the main screw (7) the intonation stays slightly flat.
  8. Thanks Hellzero. Thought that might be it, but it's a wonder I haven't wrecked it with what I was doing. Much appreciated.
  9. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Very-Rare-80s-Ibanez-Omni-Adjust-260-Gotoh-Bass-Guitar-Bridge-Made-in-Japan/113220194186?hash=item1a5c730f8a:g:jeMAAOSwHMJYIQjF Same one in black and Ibanez branded
  10. I have a Modulus Quantum 4, which is my favourite bass ever and will never be sold lol Anyway, I put a new strings on it recently and after doing so the action is now far too low with a bit of fret buzz and when playing harmonics I'm just getting the sound of the string on the fret. So I thought I'd get the allen keys out and lift the saddles. Now, lovely sounding harmonics with slightly higher action, however, my intonation is on it's derrière. Problem is I have no idea how to adjust the intonation, having never done it ever. And looking at the bridge have no idea what screws correspond to what. So could some kind soul take pity on my stupidy and tell my by looking at the pictures of the bridge what I should be turning The bridge is Modulus branded although I believe it's a rebranded late 80s or early 90s Gotoh bridge. Would love to replace it with a black version to match everything else but they seem to be rare as fu*k and quite expensive when they turn up.
  11. I was looking at buying a Rumble 350 head with an older Rumble 410 cab. Anyone any experience of the 350 head? Fella's selling them for £375, was unsure if that was a decent price or not, couldn't find much info on the head. It'll only be for playing in the house sadly, so just looking for a decent sound.
  12. Ideal, by looks of that, and the schematics, they are just rebranded Gotoh ones. Fancy a change from gold to black hardware, will have a look around for a set.
  13. Tragedy has befallen my beloved Modulus, one of the machine heads is knackered. Turns but doesn't tighten. On the back of them it says they are Modulus, but they look a lot like Gotoh GB707 ones, anyone ever needed to change them on a Modulus before?
  14. Thanks for all the suggestions. Think I'll stick with British unless I find an Ampeg first. Like the look of the Ashdown.
  15. Looking to get a new amp and needing some recommendations. I've never been into amps with 50 knobs along the front, like to keep it simple. Gain, Volume, Bass, Mid, Treble, no need for much else. At the moment I'm considering an Ampeg SVT Classic, played this a few times and really liked it. Also looking at the Orange AD200B, although not had a shot of one yet. Also like the idea it's British made, so should be easier to get repaired if anything goes wrong. Any other suggestions?
