1.
i should have said, its not the general drumming, but when he has space, its great. but do express my sorrow to your 4 minutes.. but i always look at the positive side, i spend that much time on the toilet, so even when I'm listening to sh*t, my cup is always half full.
If going to the toilet involves a cup, you're doing something wrong, and you may just be a dodgy internet meme...
2. I got caught by glass hammer because they sent me to the shop next door... which sold panel glass... I assumed it was some sort of tool needed for car windows. We got a work experience kid to ring up and order sky hooks... with hilarious results when the clueless phone operator at the suppliers didn't realise it was a pisstake and started searching the computer for them
3. Long weight, glass hammer, tartan paint, left handed screwdriver etc etc
4. I would say if you love the way it plays and feels, get a decent preamp (floor or rack) that can add some warmth/grit and fiddle til the sound matches your expectations. I guess it's about personal priorities
5. In line with my musical tastes I'd say any pop song covered by a "rock" band of any sort is gonna be better than the original. But as a specific example, search the ole tube for "the restarts - does your mother know". Epic
6. That is a really cool-looking bit of kit. Can't see a situation I'd need it, but GLWTS anyway Free bump
7. Because of my taste in music i rarely go to big gigs. The last big-ish one was orange goblin and st vitus at heaven. The bass was incredible, you could feel it in your chest. And the eq-ing meant the bassists came through perfectly
8.
No tyre kickers! No low-ballers!
How about ballkickers? It doesn't have tyres... or balls.
9. Have you tried contacting ampeg to see who their recommended engineers are? Might be obvious, apologies if you did this already.
10.
What you need is a bass with a J bridge pup before a MM pup then a P pup then a J bridge pup, then 5 minutes between each song to dial in the right sound for the number coming up.
And a back brace to support the monster plank that would be the result?
11. Looks like it's about to crush the barefaced cab Amazing amp there, GLWTS
12. Gomez, I use one of these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Planet-Waves-Lock-Guitar-Strap/dp/B001PGXKI2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1415390794&sr=8-1&keywords=locking+strap It has locks built into it, meaning you can use it with several basses instead of fitting straplocks to every bass. It's a bit stiff at first, but softens with time. I've been using mine for a while and have no concerns over durability.
13. Bought a wiring kit off John. Superb piece of work, even put up with my strange requests. The tone control is amazing now! Could not be happier. John P.S. sorry it took so long to leave feedback, John
14. GAS is gear acquisition syndrome, a painful yearning that if surrendered to leads to cupboards full of pedals that never get used and basses that sit in racks not getting played. Personally i'm GASsing for a valve amp right now. It's that "I don't need it but it'd be cool to own..."feeling
