Total Watts

  1. Traded my fender bitsa for Gareths Bacchus ,top bloke and a pleasure to deal with .
  2. Hi Gareth I'll get it weighed tomorrow but I'm guessing its around 8lb
  3. Here is my lovely PJ which i aquired from Lee on this forum a few years back .. Its a joy to play with the best P neck I've come across ,the neck is from a Fender 2008 standard Precision, Body is high quality ash i was reliably informed, Fender p pickups Dimarzio J bridge KlOgon loom volume and tone on each p.up Fender deluxe bridge Fender back plate and pegs Theres a small laquer crack by neck pocket and a couple of v small marks on horn (to small to picture) overall great condition, Weight is 9.5 lb. Pick up prefered Kettles always on and you can have good a play before buying.
  4. I thought i had far to many bass's [14 ] but it turns out i was wrong as the Mrs informed me during a row i have 17...turns out she was right ! obviously something will have to go.. Ive packed her bags.
  5. I learnt to play with this stuff and never tire of it..love it.. its been a Gary Bartz morning for me
  6. Yep unless he's written a full tune with the bassline i wouldnt have any of it ,and even if he has then as an unpaid session musician i wouldnt be that keen unless he reciprocates the gesture and is willing to play your ideas.. i've played with some top drawer sax players ,and never been told what to play except maybe an idea to go with a chord chart..
  7. My pleasure and i'm glad your'e happy with them
  8. Years back I spent a long time trying to get a Jamerson type sound and one thing that made a lot of difference was lowering my pups and having a higher action ,i used both Thomastic flats and Labbellas , they both worked nicely on my fender P and on a bitsa with Delanos ... if you are after that old finger style sound it might be worth a try before splashing out.
  9. There does seem to have been some really gifted young girl bass players coming through lately... great to see
  10. If you want something cheap but great sounding get the Superlux HD681 i bought them a few years back due to a thread singing their praises ,and have been amazed how good they are.. i now have 3 pairs one for home use and 2 in studios i use but be prepared to to upset fellow musicians using far more expensive cans as these often sound better 😀
  11. The lightest solid body bass i've owned is the Cort GB74 you can pick them up very cheap second hand and they play like a high end bass mine must be around 7lb
  12. Miles Mosley using that pedal board to full effect here
