1. Where are you, I would be keen to have a look if it's not to far. Steve
2. I'm interested and could bring my Eminence if required. M40 is as easy as northampton from the Northwest. Steve

2amBlue

My originals band "2amBlue" are playing The Cowfields Festival near Yeovil this weekend. We're on at 6pm on Saturday and I will be playing my Eminence EUB on some of the numbers. If your there give me a shout, I'll also have the berg AE112s with me. All the best Steve
4. If your doing your pub gig with drums and two guitars the shuttle 3-10 combo will not be adequate. The 10 has a tendency to fart if you push it really hard. I use the S 3-10 combo with a berg ae112, this sounds fantastic and copes with medium size gigs easily. We rehearse at low volumes, the combo is fine on its own for rehearsals. I have just bought a second AE112! We did a festival in July and have another in August the shuttle combo and ae112 where not loud enough for on stage monitoring in a festival situation. I hope the shuttle 3 and two ae112s will do the trick. If not, then I plan to add a shuttle 6 to the arsenal. Hope this helps Steve
5. I've got a Berg Ae112 which I was using for DB and BG with a Shuttle 3 - 10 Combo. This was a great combination but just not loud enough for stage monitoring for the festival we did two weekends ago. After talking to Mark at Bass Direct, who is a top bloke by the way, I have bought a second AE112. The two AEs together are just fantastic. The new one has got very discrete metal corner protectors which would solve one of your problems. I bought both of mine with covers and the old one still looks mint after 12 months gigging and rehersals. All the best Steve
6. +1 Great company really helpful good product Steve
7. In the time scale you have I would also recommend temporary position markers to help with intonation. I try if at all possible on BG to avoid open strings partly for tone reasons but also to enable easy transposition. On DB, particularly when starting out I think it is a great help to include open strings to provide an intonation reference. It is also much easier for the audience to spot poor intonation on notes which are higher up the fingerboard Hope this helps Steve
8.
Hi Teej, Thanks for the help. I'm playing through various amps at practice none of them that big, but my own rig is a Mesa 400+ and a SWR 6x10 wich is overkill for us as we aren't that loud really, were playing all 50's rock n Roll. I'll try bidding on the realist pickup. What would you suggest after the pickup? Straight in to my Mesa and see how that is? or should I just buy a preamp? Cheers, Gusto.
I use a realist on my eminence EUB it sounds dreadful without a preamp. The pickup sounds great through an LR Baggs pre but if you read the posts on TB they all say its not a great pickup in high volume situations. I can get very loud with a drummer, acoustic and electric guitars with the Eminence but the Eminence has a small body and is very feed back resistant. I dont know how well it would work with a 3/4 EUB. Hope this helps Steve
