  1. Amp is now SOLD! Thank you all for your replies and nice comments! 😊🤟
  2. Thanks for the nice comments. Over the years I have used all sorts of equipment in different situations ranging from Marshall, Ampeg, Acoustic, Fender, Hartke, TC Eectronic, Gallien Kruger etc etc, and it’s always been good to come back to my Trace Elliot, it has stood up really well to just about anything else out there.
  3. Lovely Trace Elliot 250 SMX for sale - NOW SOLD please close topic I am the original owner, I bought this classic amp from The Bass Centre on Wapping in the late 1980s. It has got the fantastic 12 band grophic with a couple of presets plus the dual band compressor which will give you just about any sound that you could ever want. Seriously powerful amp, but flexible enough to use in any situation, I certainly did for many years! This is a very well made amp, and everything works perfectly in a very solid but manageable 15Kg package. I’m hardly gigging nowadays and only need a small amp set up. This superb amp needs to be used and enjoyed for many years to come. Thanks for looking.
  4. I’ve used mine with Aguila 350, RH750, Trace Elliot smx250, even an Ashdown Little Giant 1000! All sound good. I have often toyed with the idea of using the Ashdown’s separate 500 watt outputs with two of these cabs, as it sounds so good just using the one cab. One day perhaps..........
  5. I bought a PJB C4 cab a few years ago, initially for home use, and have since used it for rehearsals, then small gigs, then larger gigs and have been more and more impressed with it’s capability. A very well made cab, easily portable, tiny footprint, excellent sound dispersal. Have used it usually with 5 string basses, various amp heads, they all sound good, very big sound for such a small cab. I would have thought that you could do a lot worse than trying one for yourself. I have been considering getting another one for a small but powerful rig.
  6. Price drop! Cab £300 Amp £150 You will not be disappointed. Hartke stuff does not seem to be particularly fashionable nowadays, but it's probably the best sounding and reliable equipment that I've ever used and I've used a hell of a lot over the years. Looks good too!
  7. Hurts my neck too! Can't seem to do anything about it. Tried to post them for ages but kept coming out upside down.
