1. Purchased this about 3 years ago as an entry level instrument to fretless and extended range, served its purpose well but is no longer being used and I could do with the extra space! I had a local luthier paint fret lines on the top of the neck and some dots on the higher end of the neck, also had the action adjusted as the C string was near unplayable when I first got it. Two unbranded pickups, three band EQ and a volume knob. There isn't much information on 'Infinity' basses out there (save a small discussion on this forum), they crop up on ebay and gumtree every now and again, these basses are very good value for money and serve as a great introduction to fretless playing. Location: Just outside of Reading, would be willing to do a small bit of travelling in the Berks/Thames Valley area.
2. Hi All, I am bumping this thread because I too am interested if anyone knows anything about the origins of these 'Infinity' basses. I got an Infinity 6 string fretless about a year and a half ago for somewhere around the £130 mark and for the price I couldn't of asked for anything better. I was only seeking a cheap fretless 6 string to have a bit of a mess around on since I'm fairly new to the fretless game, I had to have the action adjusted and fret lines painted on but since that it has been a wonderful instrument. I asked someone who is fairly knowledgeable about these things and he speculated that it might have been an independent luthier/shop who wanted to make a few cheap Warwick imitation basses, if this is true then they have done a fantastic job at it! So if anyone does know anything about these basses, or if there is another owner or two of an Infinity out there then please step forward!
3. Hi All, My bass (a GMR) is equipped with an ETS bridge, when I changed the strings for the first time shortly before Christmas I noticed something quite strange. One of the saddles (specifically the one that houses the A sting) was completely loose. I could pull it out and put it back in again with ease, whilst the other four were completely locked in place. The bridges are all advertised as being adjustable, but I am slightly concerned about one of them being completely loose whilst the other are all fixed in place. Since these bridges appear to be quite specialist and the resources about them online are limited, it would be good to hear from anyone else who has experience with them. NB: The issue has absolutely no effect on the playing whatsoever.
