1. Anyone bought from here, http://www.amplifiercoversonline.com/zencart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=491_136&products_id=3883
2. Hi all, I know Roqsolid do a cover for barefaced super compacts but I need a cover asap (within 2-3 days). Any other quick purchase recommendations. Main concern is waterproofing and walking quite a distance in rain. Cheers!!!! C
3. @sharkboy The 802 is initially what got me interested in Markbass. Awesome piece of kit. Just worried that the initial 150w wouldn't cut it at rehearsals with drummer, guitarists and synths. You think it would? Know it's hard to say for sure as it depends on guitarist ampage and drummers style. It's quite expensive as the 802 is around 500 and then to get it to 250w I would have to buy a cab at about £380. That's why I started going down the route of head and cab. You think 250w would be enough for what I plan? If that is the case it could get the 802 or the Minimark 250 or Nano Mark (300w) and cab. That would come in at around £600, plus speaker cable etc.
4. Right, I may plump for a markbass minimark 802. If I add a cab, this should be good to go for gigs? And without, for rehearsals?
5. I will pick one up tomorrow Stylon. Ta!
6. Hi, I am trying to get me head around this. I will be buying a Fender 40 Rumble v2. It has a line out. I will be practicing most of the time at home so it will be headphones or turned down low. At the weekend I have access to a practice room with a PA. Can I use the line out to go directly into the PA? (for jamming with drummer) Thanks, C
7. Been trying to find info on the Ampeg BA108 V2 and if it has a dedicated line out for connecting to a PA. anyone know as I can't find any info. I know the old one had. Cheers C
8. Tested it out. There was quite a hum coming from it. Not sure if that was born as it is so powerful. Sounded great apart from that. Didn't realise there was I input for external audio (play along) and no headphone out :-(
9. "Would be handy to know your budget and if there's any transport issues. " Transport isn't an issue. Will be lugging it out of the house once a week to begin with. Regarding budget, just looking to good value for money. If you can let me know about the Ashdown for £90 offer I posted above that would be great. It appears to have more than enough wattage for my needs and is cheap. Just wary of committing too much money at this stage as I will prob go through a few amps to get the right sound. Cheers!
10. Cheers folks! I have the opportunity to buy an ASHDOWN MAG 250 watt RMS. Maximum output 500 watt for £90. Good buy? Also, anything I should be looking out for with second hand bass amps? Thanks, C
11. Hi, Just starting out...again, and jamming with mate on drums, possibly guitar player too. All just for fun at the moment. Any recommendations on wattage required to cut through. Just something really decent. Play with fingers and don't like plucking too hard. Looking at the Ashdown amps st moment. Cheers for any help. If you need any more info to get some good suggestions together. PS Was thinking combo/solid state Cheers! C
12. Thanks for all the advice. Looking into each of those tonight. Ta!
