1. SOLD SOLD SOLD An incredible instrument, no need for this now though as I am using Deviser basses now. This was hand built in Japan by the master craftsmen at Atelier Z. This bass has been used over the past few years but not excessively so. It is therefore in very good shape both aesthetically and mechanically. Atelier Z Beta-6 Custom (made around 2011) 6 String 19 mm spacing 34 Inch Scale Ash Body Trans white with matching headstock. Black hardware Maple Neck Maple Fingerboard with Mother of Pearl Block Inlays and white binding East U-Retro 01 Deluxe Preamp ( Vol / Pan / Bass / Treble / Mid Freq / Mid + - / Passive Tone / Bright switch ) Roland GK Pickup and internal GK kit 1/4" and GK outputs Clear Pickguard Custom made acrylic bass ramp Weight : 4.3 kg Condition : Very good .A few minor dings (hard to notice) and one small spot on lower horn where the color changed after it was touched up at the factory after requesting a deeper cutaway. 2. RARE TOP OF THE RANGE BACCHUS UNIVERSE 4 STRING BASS SOLD SOLD SOLD This bass is from the Universe Range, made in China, but is from the deluxe range of those models. It used to retail at 100,000JPY or approx $950 so is more akin to the top end of current Bacchus Global series produced in the Philippines. It is very similar in design, sound and feel, to the hand made MIJ range's "Strong" model. The build quality is actually really good (although not as fine as the aforementioned MIJ series). The materials are of a decent standard and the finish is beautiful! THe tone is the amazing thing about this, it really kicks and has a wide variety of tonal options, much like it's high end cousin the "Strong". It is one of the best sounding basses I ever heard in this price bracket. (New it was 100,000 JPY plus tax; roughly 600 GBP). Spec. Tuning Heads: Grover Bridge: Bacchus DB (same as on high end models) Body, two piece ash with flamed maple top stained dark brown and trimmed in faux ivory. Neck, 3 piece maple (there is a scratch on the neck, see pics, doesn't affect play though) Board, Rosewood with pearloid block inlays and faux ivory trim. 21 fret 34" scale Pre amp- Bacchus Super Bomb (this really kicks, great pre-amp IMO) P-ups- Bacchus original Jazz and Humbucker. Controls, main vol, balance, mid/treb notched. Bass cut and boost, notched. Active passive switch. Currently there is a small amount of static noise on the balancer dial, but other than that it sounds and plays just great! Ships globally, tracked and insured with EMS Japan. Shipping is approximately 80 GBP from Tokyo. Contact me about further shipping details if interested. Thanks!
3. Just remembered a handful of important ones in addition to my previous post. Don't know how I could've forgotten some of these! MIJ Yamaha JP1 - Amber, gorgeous neck, construction was sublime, but again the pre-amp and p-ups were just a little too clinical and noisy too. MIJ Bacchus 24 1st generation 5 string; XTCT, brilliant neck, light body, deep set neck joint, excellent resonance, but only had a two band EQ....if three it would've rocked! MIK Clive 5 string Modern - stock pre was good, pups were OK response not so great through the whole tonal spectrum, workable though, and the neck kept shifting...NG for a pro. Tune TWB5 Hybrid - awesome sounding thing...beautifully made...but the neck kept shifting couldn't take the humid Japanese summer. Tune TWB6 Ash - Gorgeous clear tone, awesome bridge, loved it, better than the Yamaha JP IMO....the neck was solid on this one....great. Tune Slapping 5 - Tune's preamp rocked, this bass just sounded great, looked cool in it's strange angular modern tune sort of way! Neck was fine too no issues. I do miss a lot of the basses I had come through me, but I love trying out and reviewing them all and it lead me to select the brand I most trust for cost, quality, performance and quality. So my verdict is that Moon, ESP and Bacchus / Deviser basses have rugged necks that deal with temperate change quite well, whereas Tune seemed to have a few issues although it might have just been one "bad" neck though, not sure. THe Yammy JP was also not as resilient to climatic changes. __________________
4. Had a fair few in my time including those I have reviewed for Bacchus / Deviser of course. Lets think. Epiphone - piece of crap for beginners MIJ Aria Pro II - beginner so didn't know value of bass - liked it though Vestax 5 string - shiiite US Pedulla pentabuzz fretless - gorgeous US Pedulla Rapture - hmmm not so hot. UK JD 4 string fretless - excellent US Fender Precision Deluxe MIJ Yamaha TRB PII 6 MIJ ESP - Jaguar style bass - forget the name - good bass though. MIJ ESP Amaze 4 string - Amazing just as you'd expect, but bloody pricey! MIJ ESP Amaze 5 String - Oh yeah! MIJ ESP Bottom Line Fretless - very nice, chinnamon pre sounds beautiful. MIJ ESP Edwards EAM128 QM - great! Much like the Amaze but p-ups not as good MIJ ESP Edwards Ikuo Signature, Black - yeah great instrument indeed, good for heavy rock / funk. MIJ ESP J signature Bass - nice enough, not my kind of bass though... and so expensive! MIJ Moon JJ5 Fretless - Awesome MIJ Moon JB4 - Ken armstrongs - yup, very very nice MIJ Moon JJ4 - Superb MIJ Blade B2 - Blue Stain - great, bit bright though. MIJ Blade B3 - Natural - gorgeous! MIJ Blade B4 5 string - cherry burst - NTMB preamp oh yeaaaahhh ! MIJ Kubicki Blaster - white - Cool, great neck, light weight body, punchy as you like! MIJ Kubicki Blaster - Red - My current refurb project. MIJ Bacchus STrong 4 - NTMB pre, f'in great! MIJ Bacchus Woodline 4 -2002 - A simple but fantastic jazz bass, great build quality. MIJ Bacchus Strong 5 - NTMB - One of the best I ever played. MIJ Bacchus Strong LTD 4 - NTMB - Even better than above. MIJ Bacchus Standard 5 - Maple board, barts, XTCT pre - Very very nice indeed MIJ Bacchus Standard 5 - Ebony board, XTCT Pre - " " MIJ Bacchus Grooveline 5 - XTCT Pre - Yes, YEs YES! Brilliant, loved it, so simple and light, but kicked ass and just sounded good right away. MIJ Bacchus STD JB5 - Aguilar OPB2 - Awesomeness, nice tonal variety MIJ Bacchus TF5ASH - "" "" - My go to bass right now MIJ Bacchus Twentyfour 5 LTD Zebrawood 2004 XTCT- Oh my god! MIJ Bacchus Twentyfour 5 LTD 2006 NTMB - Quilted Maple - Ash - Holy cow of Bethlehem! MIJ Bacchus Twentyfour 5 2003 Alder - XTCT - Pretty fine, but not as good as the others above MIJ Bacchus WLJB5 - Passive - great very very nice Jazz bass indeed. MIJ Bacchus Woodline DX5 Passive - Uh huh, this was beautiful, very clear but rich tone MIJ Bacchus Woodline DX5AC - XTCT pre - Superb MIJ Bacchus Woodline DX4AC - XTCT pre - " " MIJ Bacchus Twentyfour DX5 - XTCT - Brilliant sound, not my favourite neck though, prefer the TF5ASH. MIJ Bacchus Twentyfour DX4 - XTCT - " " MIJ Bacchus DX5BGP - Sexy looks, lightweight, big sound. Love it. MIP Bacchus TF 501 - Big bang for small buck - yeah it's very good but lacks the attention to detail it's MIJ cousins have.. MIC Bacchus UG4M - Bass Bomb pre - holy f@%k for an MIC bass surprisingly excellent. It kicks! Still using this as a four string. MIJ Bacchus BJ PJ bass 1998 - blow job in yer pajamas? Almost better than sex, but not quite. MIJ Made By Aska - AC70's 5 - XTCT Oh my god, just gorgeous. STR Build at affordable prices. MIJ 1997 Ken Smith Burner 5 - Ken Smith Tone and build quality at an affordable price. Very very very nice indeed. MIJ Atelier Z JHJ89 - Really really nicely made, sounded great to, but I didn't like the neck profile too much personally. I think there were a few others, but not so memorable ones. I have had numerous Bacchus handmade come through me, like about 20 or so used models, all very consistent in build, so didn't list them all as they were the same models just different stains. Yes, I live in Japan! If you're looking for any MIJ models just gimme a shout I may be able to help
5. It's no problem as a private owner. If I was a registered plc, it could cause issues, but I have a system that legally gets around this so it is not a problem. No offence taken

7. Hi Karl, actually I arrange shipping often abroad and I have ways of marking shipping value down to get the duty down. Should've mentioned that in the listing. So no it wouldn't necessarily cost that much landed. Shipping will be 80 pounds or 14000JPY, yes tax has to be added to that correct. Bass would ship at around a value of 450GBP marked down for duty purposes I do this often for buyers...never had any issues before. Cheers for now. Danny
That is one beautiful bass. Please don't take this the wrong way Innobassion, but your avatar implies you are in Tokyo, Japan. With likely shipping costs around £100 to UK, plus VAT, customs import duty etc, to buy your bass people would need to budget around £1100 to get it to UK, based on your £800 asking price. Hope the Mods and you are both ok with this guess, as I would hate to think somebody would get carried away with the beauty of this bass and then find out the other bits too late. Mods, please feel free to delete if I have crossed the line. Cheers, Karl.
8. SOLD SOLD SOLD I often buy ex-demo basses from stores here when I have the cash, and this one I have in my collection presently. It still has it's box and original case, documentation and tools.... EX-DISPLAY This bass is in mint condition except for a tiny ding on it's upper hip and some scuffing on the pick guard due to slap style playing when it was tested out in store. This bass is in ESP's hand built mid range brand 'Edwards' line up. It is their affordable version of their high end ESP AMAZE model. The materials are high grade, you have a solid ash body with a quilted maple top, and a hard maple neck and fret board, The main differences between this and the high end model are three things. 1. The scale length is 34" on the Edwards range but 35" on the ESP high end model. 2. The pre amp and pick-ups are third party being Seymour Duncan as opposed to ESP custom shop. 3. Price. The Edwards version is around $1200 new, where as the ESP Amaze is more like $3500 and up! Sound wise this packs a lot of punch, has good even response up and down the neck and feels easy to play. You can dial up a comprehensive array of tones to suit any style. It actually feels very similar to it's more expensive cousin the ESP AMAZE, and the hardware is nearly as good too. Looks wise it is hard to tell the difference, it looks just as good as the Amaze. The finish is gorgeous, a high gloss hard wearing urethane lacquer. The neck is treated with a satin emollient that keeps the neck smooth and satin to the touch but protected from moisture. The instrument is very rugged and gets a good 9/10 on my rating. :-) Comes with gig bag, boxed and with warranty. Ships globally with EMS Japan, tracked and insured for about 80 GBP. I offer value mark downs to help reduce duty tax. Please inquire if you want to know more! Cheers
