Bass EQ on the Marshall all the way down??????? Where's the fun in that? That might be an ok scenario if I were playing stadium gigs and the tech was setting up and lugging my stuff about, but I am trying to keep the set up a little bit more minimal. Your suggestion is, however, noted sir.
You know what, you might be on to something there 3below. I may have a go at unplugging the speakers and running it through a couple of different bass cabs.
Anyone ever used a Marshall Bluesbreaker as a gigging bass amp? Somebody borrowed my TC rig and for want of a practice amp I plugged into my Bluesbreaker. It sounded awesome!! Such a warm and natural sound. They are loud amps, which I know from playing guitar, but I don't know how they would fare at gig volume with a low B on the five string rattling through it.

In fairness, it is the London BASS GUITAR Show.
I'd like to see Yamaha amongst the exhibitors: finding their basses to try is quite hard in my experience. I can't believe that they can't afford the show fees.

Fair enough fella. We'll just leave those awkward looking upright things out of it then eh? Lets just plug in and get loud.
