25 quid

Hi I'm learning Dale Davis' tears dry which he played in a stripped down gig in dingle church. I know it's been taken from James Jamerson's ANMHE but in a different key. The thing is..for me it's been a slog and although I can jam it now at full speed with my band, if I make a mistake I get completely lost. We want to play this soon but I'm bloody scared of it. Any advice

My band's playing at an open night on Thursday near Nottingham. We played there in November and it was our first live performance. There were two other bands there and one of them had a bass player more technical than me. His singer played harp on one song which sounded like someone s****ing an accordion. He played first and when we played he never even looked up until the end, where he gave a polite clap. The other band was comprised of two guitar teachers and a drum teacher. They bored me rigid actually.

Hello from Derbyshire. Been playing bass a while but I'm self taught and my theory is pre beginner. I'm now trying to address that coz our guitarist is heavily armed in that department. Finally had to swap those crackly pots on my bass for new ones - the tone pot had even seized from all the gunk I've sprayed in. It's now sounding fab through my recently acquired orange pix 100 bxt combo. Got the idea to do it off this site, which it seems is full of old duffers like me.
