  1. Thanks Neil - reciprocated
  2. Bought a Squier Jazz bass from Neil and what a nice genuine and honest guy. Guitar perfect and as described and took the effort to box it up and post it to me. Good comms too. Hope to deal again but happy to recommend him to anyone here.

  4. Hi Paul and thanks Organic - I may take a trip to PMT in Bristol as it's not too far away. M
  5. Just as way of an update and thanks to all. I had a look at the Squier modified Jazz that Moos3h had for sale but whilst I had a think it unfortunatley sold (thanks though Moos3h for your help). Anyway that prompted me to go to the local music shop in Glos who didn't have a Jazz bass but they had a Squier Jaguar bass. Although i didn't like the shape or colour i found the neck to be really good. So ive ditched the idea of Ibanez / Yamaha in favour for a traditional Jazz Bass. After all this (Jazz / soul / funk) is the music i'm more drawn towards. I will pop an add in the wanted section here just in case anyone has one surpless to requirments. Cheers chaps and thanks for the warm welcome. M
  6. Thanks John. Well Cheltenham Timmo so been in the local shops both Glos and Chelt. Thanks for the links I may take a trip to Bristol as the other half could go shopping etc while I browse the music shops. Brum and Bristol seem to be open on Sunday also. Cheers M
  7. Hello, oldish bloke from Gloucestershire here. Started the slow road into learning my first instrument in August last year. Really enjoying learning and playing the Bass. I've got a cheap Westfield P Bass from the local paper and amp which is fine. I have read quite a bit on here so thanks to all in regard to affordable Bass's which will be my next step. I would like to try some slim neck models as my hands are not that big so will be looking at a few ibanez/Yamaha I think. Any suggestions on where to go to try a few models out. I have been locally but the range of Bass is not vast.. Thanks in advance M
