According to Fender there's a 50s with a soft V, 60s with C, and 70s with U. But they're so similar you could hardly tell the difference if there was any at all.

Is the U shaped neck profile noticeably different from the standard C profile?

Hi there I've been playing bass on and off for 20yrs. Starting with classical, and a little jazz, now noodling around to rock covers. My current basses are... Fender road worn precision G&L L2000 Fender classic 60s Jazz w/ Fralins 1978 A-Bass Basses that have come and gone.... Squier CV 60s Jazz Squier CV 60s Precision Fender Highway One Precision 1999 A-Bass Proto Teisco Del Ray ESP LTD B-255 Carvin LB20 from early 90's Some old double-basses and bows. I'm joining up here from across the pond out of a desire to learn more points of view and the possibility of buying something used. Thanks Mark
