  1. Thanks for the link,I have my eBay account set up fou UK deals only so I was'nt aware were they were available albeit in the States.
  2. I have a Mexican Jazz Bass with DiMarzio pickups fitted, the string spacing is all over the place,I have adjusted the neck in its socket to align the E and G strings with the fingerboard edge, but the string spacing is still off.I was wondering if I could cut some new slots in the saddles to allow me to adjust the spacing, I can get a cheap bridge with saddles off the bay and could use this to make new saddles with slots.I have looked at using threaded bar but drilling and tapping 3 new holes per saddle could be more complicated than I would like.My idea would be to cut the slots only on the top of the saddle and round them off with a needle file.Do you think this is feasible or does anyone have a simpler work round? Cheers in advance.
  3. Hi bit of help needed,I have a behringrr keyboard amp with four stereo jack inputs ie left and right.I would like to connect my bass but need both channels to get the correct volume. Can I use some form of y cable for this and if so would it need to o be a mono single jack to 2 mono jacks. Thanks in advance.
  4. Thanks for your replies, I'll be taking the amp to our local technician to let him have a look.I like the sound enough to put my hand in my pocket.
  5. Thanks, that was my first thought,it could be an expensive repair bill, might be worthwhile scrapping the amp part and keeping the cab.I have a Laney rb4 as a spare which I can use for the odd gig.
  6. Hi ,I don't know if anyone can help me,my Ashdown EB 180 combo keeps blowing fuses on the IEC input, the fuse I took out was a 2 amp slow blow, and I replaced it like for like,Put the fuse in turn on the power and ! Poof ,blown fuse.I did not have the cab connected at the time and wondered if that was the cause. The initial blown fuse occurred during a practice session and everything was connected up.Any heads up ,is the fuse too small power wise etc.My first thought was to buy a cheap replacement amp and keep the cab as,well, a cab.Cheers in anticipation.
  7. I was a guitarist for 40 years until I saw the light, that and the fact that our fifties cover band had 4 guitarists and I decided to bite the bullet.Influences are Jameson and any bassist that makes me tap my foot.
  8. Look after your ears, I've got to the point of having to wear hearing aids, luckily they are not too obvious and luckily they were free from the NHS , loud music, loud working environment and stupidity were to blame , on a positive note, without the aids I can hear the bass lines better on CD,s and at gigs because all the noisy ones( guitarists) are filtered out by the hearing loss.
