[color=#000000][font=Times][size=1] I bought this in the early 1980's & used it as a jobbing musician for about 8 years.[/size][/font][/color][color=#000000][font=Times][size=1] It's been in store since then![/size][/font][/color][color=#000000][font=Times][size=1] This is the classic and top of range Ibanez bass of the time - as used by Sting (don't let that put you off!) and other musicians of the time. I loved it for its rich well-balanced sound & 2 octave neck. Straight through neck must help its sustain & resonance. Looks like an ebony fretboard (?). Powerful pickups.[/size][/font][/color][color=#000000][font=Times][size=1] Details of these basses on Wiki.[/size][/font][/color][color=#000000][font=Times][size=1] On board electrics for boost - great on stage but too noisy for studio use I thought. Pots are a bit crackly - needs a clean.[/size][/font][/color][color=#000000][font=Times][size=1] Neck true, wear on frets modest.[/size][/font][/color][color=#000000][font=Times][size=1] A few dings and scrapes - good vintage condition otherwise. I've photo-ed these - the worst in on the top cutaway (it fell out of a stand in a rehearsal room in St Paul's Bristol in about 1983!). Needs a bit of TLC generally to present it at its best.
