1. Sunday evening bump. This is a pb40 model, tone etc is as you would expect from these great basses. Neck is straight with plenty of room for adjustment in the truss rod, low action. Any questions, please ask.
2. [sharedmedia=core:attachments:195729] [sharedmedia=core:attachments:195728] '84 ish tokai hard puncher. black body, black pickguard, rosewood fretboard. Upgraded with a Schaller roller bridge many years ago - everything else is as it came from the factory. seems to be an '84 with the fender shape headstock but the 'new' logo. There are some cosmetic flaws but none of them affect the playing at all. There's a good amount of buckle rash on the back, one shallow ding in the back of the neck, fretboard perfect. There is a very small hairline crack at one of the screw fixings for the E tuner (shown in the gallery linked below) but it doesn't have any impact on the tuner at all I had this set up a couple of months ago, they did a minor fret dress but there's loads left. New roundwounds on. Ready to go! located south (of) London, will include the knackered case which i believe to be the same vintage. no trades please. 3. Thanks for the warm welcome, all. I guess if I can avoid _excessive_ GAS I'll be winning.
4.
Lots of love for the Hard Puncher on this forum.
For good reason! It is a wonderful instrument. Mine has lots of 'character' as it was my primary gigging bass. Love it!
5. Hi all, been lurking a while. I'm Dan, been living in London for the past decade or so, formerly of Ontario Canada. Been playing bass since c. '95, albeit with a significant hiatus since moving abroad as I had initially left my gear in storage back home. Once I accepted that I was staying here for the foreseeable, I rationalised my possessions (the 'great purge') and shipped the remainder over here. My only bass kit that survived was my '83 ish tokai hard puncher PB-40 and my sadowsky outboard pre. played with mates for a bit here, but it had all tapered off with the arrival of my two daughters. now that they're a bit older i'm finding myself back at the bass more and more. looking forward to getting stuck in a bit and trying to avoid GAS.
