Hi all - after lurking here for a while, I thought I'd say hello! As the big 40 rapidly approaches, what better way is there to celebrate hitting middle age by taking up the bass? Over the years, I've dabbled a fair bit on the guitar and can "busk". With the bass, however, I seem to have a bit more focus and dedication to improving which must say something. And Basschat seems a great forum - the great and the good rubbing shoulders with the hobbyist, beginner etc. It has a nice vibe about the place. And that Harley Benton Deco thread is fantastic... a nice B450 [url="http://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_b_450_black_progressive_series.htm"]http://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_b_450_black_progressive_series.htm[/url] paired with a practice amp I picked up off ebay for a tenner means I'm off and running for under fifty quid! Though I think in the long run, that thread is going to cost me money... Anyway, I hope to be around here for a while and join in with this great community. Ben
