1. Hi all, Just a query at this point as I might change my mind. I have an as new Squire CV Telecaster in a padded gig bag doing nowt and I need a good bass cab. Ive no real preference at the moment (4x10, 1x15) so wondered if anyone out there might want to do a trade. Either a straight swap or swap + cash. I can email pics if required but as I said the tele is pristine condition and is the 3 tone sunburst model as below... https://www.hwaudio.co.uk/Product/Fender-Squier-Classic-Vibe-Telecaster-Custom-3-Tone-Sunburst-Rosewood-p24687?gclid=Cj0KEQjw-7GxBRCL_Kq6mZSHvdsBEiQA7r8VhDLcUdvK_wUwBxHKnge1_8ClqI1a9fvVUH5RblI-hvcaAg-d8P8HAQ SteveH
2. Thanks again. This would eventually become an extension cab so I'll give this some thought. If I get it I'll be asking advice on cab dimentions next! Ive looked at WinISD but there was quite a bit of head scratching going on. Cheers Steve
3. Thanks Stevie, Sorry I forgot to mention that its a 15, would your comments still apply? Can I assume even less top end with it being a 15? Steve
4. Hi Folkes, Do any of you guys have any knowledge about this driver, and would it be suitable as a standalone speaker in a cabinet? I have a chance of bagging one for a good price but initially it would be used in isolation rather than an extension cab. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Steve
5. I recently bought a Tech Soundsystems TVM350 from Nik, Fantastic communications throughout - he wasn’t content until I'd fired the thing up and made sure I was happy with it ( I am very happy, it sounds wonderful) What a true gent - thanks Nik
6. Hi Paul - Welcome. Like me, back after waaaay too many years. Stick with it.
7. So after a good 15 years down time I have finally got the opportunity to get back together with some old muso pals and blow off the cobwebs. An old buddy of mine (fellow bass player) died recently and it was decided to have a charity gig in his honor. I was asked to play bass and it turned out to be a fantastic affair. After the gig we all got "da bug" again. We've started rehearsing again and it feels great to be playing again with the lads. A few years ago I snaffled a great deal on flea bay for a shop soiled Ibanez SR1000EFM from the states. I took the plunge and bought it....Wow! A fantastic bass albeit I have had a bit of a battle with noisy pots but I think I've sorted it now. However, all my bass playing recently has been into a computer using bass sim software (sorry bout that guys!) I'm still gutted that when I stopped playing I got rid of a pristine thru neck Yamaha BB2000 in a custimised case - worth a bob or two now I think! I have always had a soft spot for Trace Elliot kit so I joined this forum to not only get to know yooz lot but to see if you guys sell on your unwanted toys. I'm scraping some cash together (always a problem) and I think I would like to bag myself an AH250 or something similar. Then I will add a 4 x10 and maybe a 1x15 later on for a bit of "fatness". How often do these amps appear on here? - also could you advise me on good TE alternatives to the AH250. Any advise welcomed. Cheers guys Steve
8. Yamaha BB3000. Back in the late 90's. Chopped it in for a darn keyboard .
