1.
You don't - you let the bass do it. See previous thread re muddy bass sound in live mix. You use the bass drum for standing the cymbals, toms, drink, everything else on, that's all.
^ said no sound engineer ever.
2. FWIW I've got an ABM300 head that has taken some abuse over hundreds of gigs and the only issues I've had were one dry solder joint on the preamp and the transformer bolt coming loose. Your best bet is to contact Ashdown directly who will probably suggest sending it to them so they can diagnose. I was never asked for a single penny for the work undertaken on mine, and they also paid the return shipping. Unbeatable customer service.
3. Foo Fighters, the only gig I've walked out of. Should be called "Dave Grohl Screams At You For Two Hours"
4. The Octoplus is a great octave pedal, I often use it in place of the OC2. GLWS
5.

NSFW
6. After the nightmare of trying to converse with their "technical designer" (who came across clueless and repeatedly avoided the question I was asking him) about a technical problem, I will never touch any orange equipment ever again.
7. That performance on Jools Holland was not particularly flattering. Weak vocals, thin sound and just very very mediocre once the drum/bass novelty has worn off.
8.
ESpecially if your fat guitarist... etc. Really? That happened?
It did, they were a group of teenagers going mad on a £20 bar tab Turned up with just guitars expecting to use everyone elses gear. To be fair if the bassist had asked me himself I would have considered it, but this guy came over with a load of attitude and I just thought no chance lad.
9. Bad experiences with amps in particular always means a no, except in the rare circumstance it is a friend. Top tip, I am still going to say no even if your fat guitarist squares up to me shouting "why the f*** not, how are we supposed to perform?"
10. If you passed a jar round the places we used to play it would almost certainly be launched at the stage at some point. If you're getting paid, it's a bit cheeky IMO and gives the wrong message.
11.
Never mind, we can still produce world-beating cars like Aston Martin. After all, we're a G8 country, one of the richest in the world, so we're not held back by primitive production facilities. Nothing like those Chinese car factories eh?
That post made no sense at all If you want to compare like-for-like (in other words not handbuilding cars in 1994 compared to a modern production line...) you can see much the same facilities at Jaguar/Land Rover in Speke, Vauxhall in Ellesmere Port, Toyota in Deeside. Those are just local examples to me, need I go on...?
12. My main bass is a 1996 Fender MIM P-bass which I picked up for £90 a few years ago
