1.
Thanks for the replies! I should of mentioned yesterday that I'm writing from Portugal and that I'm a total newbie to bass playing. I've been chewing on the idea of buying a bass for some time now to be used in my home-studio, and found this SB456 in the classifieds. Kinda fell in love with it..GAS GAS GAS! This implies that I've never played a bass collection and wouldn't know the difference between the sound of the original pickups and the EMG's.. However after seeing a zillion Yamahas, warwicks, squiers, etc.. I keep coming back to the bass collection. I want one bad !! Meanwhile..... Found this bass collection ¿SB310? going for more or less the same money, haven't discussed the price yet.. However the owner claims its an 1980 SB310 all original. Looks like its in good nick, better pictures this time: https://flic.kr/p/BwmHkC https://flic.kr/p/BDCte1 https://flic.kr/p/AJwaQk https://flic.kr/p/B8qBJz What are your thoughts.. would you go for the SB465 with the EMG's or for the SB310? Thanks again gents
Without thinking of the price that is..

 3. Hi all ! Specifically signed up for this thread. Im hoping you guys could give me a hand on this one: Found a bass collection speakeasy 5 strings going for 400Gbp. I havent phisically seen it, only by the pics. Trouble is im not sure of the model number, the owner reckons its an SB460. Then its got all the hints of being constructed in Japan but showes serial number: 981550. Following Happy Jack's info (Thanks!) it should of been manufactured in 1998, all ready in the korean built era.. confusing.. Original Pickups have been exchanged for a pair of EMG's. Please help me shed some light on this so I spend my money wisely. Ive uploaded some pics, unfortunatly not the sharpest either. https://www.flickr.com/photos/48487581@N03/22776518154/in/dateposted-public/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/48487581@N03/22777719873/in/dateposted-public/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/48487581@N03/23036929389/in/dateposted-public/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/48487581@N03/23404896835/in/dateposted-public/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/48487581@N03/23109124430/in/dateposted-public/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/48487581@N03/22776523954/in/dateposted-public/ Is it worth the money? Thanks guys
