Total Watts

1. Debbie Googe, that muddy "clack" sounds awesome in the context of MBV but wouldn't work for my band.
2. Angel Olsen's newie and the classic "Double Nickles..." by minutemen.
3. Fugazi, Mineral, American Football, Slint, NoFx, Rancid, Aphex Twin, Cursive, Q and not U. All that kindo stuff.
4.
apples Very small rocks Churches Cider Gravy
Be careful of that edge.....you might cut yourself.
5. Armistead Burwell Smith (Pinback/3 mile pilot) Joe Lally (Fugazi) Entwhistle (duh) Bob Weston (Shellac) Eric Judy (Modest Mouse) Hon Mentions Mike Kennedy (drive like Jehu) Kim Coletta (Jawbox) Brian Desjean (no knife) Dom Aitchison (mogwai) Armistead Burwell Smith is a massively underrated bassist https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=x5Lyh_UkPlM very unique style. Nice alembic tae boot
6. Radiohead, Drive like Jehu, LCD soundsystem, Shellac, The Avalanches, Sigur Ros, Car Seat Headrest, Bob Mould, PJ Harvey, Tame Impala...and tons more at Primavera Sound Barcelona
7. Shellac "Prayer To God"...the tone from that Travis has "heft" sweet "heft".
8. I'd love this thread on talkbass. Rule number one: "Get of my lawn" Rule number Two: "G&L have that covered" Rule number three: "Mods have added a schematic to accurately counter an over productive sense of humour...this mod is mandatory"
9. I used to play fingerstyle exclusively but when I got in my new band moved to a pick. We are a three piece (sonic youth, swervedriver, slint, shellac influenced). I found with the pick it was easier to play with a more driven sound. The guitarist in our band is quite abstract and atonal so I tend to add big chords (usually past the 12th fret) and open drone cords to add melody and drive to our guitarists "textural" approach...the pick is the most effective tool to achieve this. Still rattle about fingerstyle at home though
10. It looks like the diesel but most examples I could find are mounted horizontally (with the mesa logo also afixed horizontally) I'll try mesa see what they say!
11. It only draws 250watt from the Ampeg.....but good grief! It's a monster was really just wanting to know so I could get an identical one to draw MAXIMUM POWER for live gigs.....we have a very "enthusiastic" guitarist
12. Hi! Picked this cab for £60 (400watt at 8ohm) but can't find any info online! What model is it and did I get a ridiculous bargain?
