  1. I have the E and A from the Pirastro Slap set to go with the D and G from the Superior Bass Dirty Gut strings. Dirty guts lacked definition in the E and A for me but the Pirastro Slap strings have been amazing. (I only really play Jazz, Latin, Rock and Roll and Rockabilly stuff on the upright mind). Really want to check out the gut or synthetic D and G one day... Any one tried the gut stings from this set? 2. I've just put a set last week. Enjoying the strings, they are easy to get around on and the tone is very nice. I've only had steel core up to now. Last set were Jazzer and they were great but wanted to see what other's were digging. Evah' have not settled yet, still dropping tuning. Is that usual for synthetic core strings?
  3. Hi folks, I'm curious, do any other NXT players find the bass slips position when using it with the end pin stand? Maybe it's a technique thing but after a few songs I find the main bolt has allowed the bass to slip on the stand towards me and kind of fold in, meaning I'm having to support the thing to get to the end of a tune. If I really tighten the fixing bolt then it doesn't happen for a while but it puts me off using it live. Anyone else had this problem?
