Total Watts

  1. Fight back, every time with stuff like this. Stupid/drunk punters, who think musicians are there for them to abuse, are often shocked that a band member will leave the stage and pursue them half way across town......
  2. Mostly used that Rick copy live for 'the look' (Weller used Ricks). Nearly all Jam recordings were a P
  3. Bruce Foxtons Ricky was a copy. He did most of The Jam stuff on a Precision, which he still does.
  4. Graham Parkers cover of Hold Back The Night (pink vinyl)
  5. Richie McCracken in Taste rocking that white Precision was a massive influence on my early playing
  6. 1st reply says it all really. I use a QSC PLX2402 which is class H. Plenty of power, not too heavy. Just check that you pre-amp has enough output to drive your power amp, which my SRW Grand Prix does with no problem in this set up.

    Compressors

For a bit of old school optical compression, I can recommend the SGFX Imperial. Can be very fat and adds its own character, a lot like McCartneys sound on Taxman
  8. Try The Marcus King Band for a modern funky approach.
  9. I've yet to play with a drummer outside of Texas that can nail it. Most bass players play it wrong as well
  10. These work great for 2U heads: http://gatorcases.com/lightweight-micro-keyboard-bag/
  11. I've got a couple of these, excellent value! Great fit for P and J bass: http://www.flightcasewarehouse.co.uk/industry/product.asp?item=spider-universal-deluxe-bass-guitar-hard-case-7088-3980
  12. That is a bargain. EVO II's are great amps
