  1. BECOS IQ MINI PRO - £SOLD Hi folks, Got a bit more space on the pedalboard so not needing this mini compressor now. Lots of reviews on this, great for guitar and bass. This is a slightly older version (I think 1.2). Can do UK postage for a few quid extra. I don't have the original box but can pack securely. Thanks for looking
  2. I have almost the same model; I finally found a keeper - great basses! Good luck!
  3. Hi all, I'm looking to do some reconfiguration on a bass body to use Thunderbird pickups. I want to use the same measurements as on the Thunderbird for pickup spacing from the bridge, and correct distance to the neck pickup. This would be for (I think) the modern config where the two are further apart than on vintage models. Could anyone help with this? Weirdly this info is hard to find online so far. Many thanks
  4. Mine has different electronics in it now but I believe the switch is original, if that helps? EDIT: the switch is meant to be oriented that way, so could well be original.
  5. SOLD Had this a while but it doesn't really get any use due to me sticking with amp and cab setup for gigs. Immaculate condition with cables, plugs, box etc. These I believe are discontinued now, and the few available new are £345 here Not really after trades but do ask, you never know..... Thanks
  6. I've a set of Mountain Lightning jazz pickups - very pleased with them as a higher-output, chunkier alternative to stock pups.

  8. Hi all, Fancied a change for my 2010 MIJ 62-US bass, and opted for some Mountain Lightnings from Gemini Pickups. I sold some QPs ages ago and fancied something high output in a similar vein. I emailed them and had a very quick and helpful response advising that these would be the best option. A few days later and they're in. I do have a rough sound clip comparison but I think I'll redo and tweak the heights more precisely. As expected, the MTs - 13.6k and 17k(!) - are a bit more growly in the mids and fatter in the low end, and don't quite have the same zing as the stock ones - 7k and 7.4k. That said, not night and day difference played through an interface and amp sim, so I'll see how they fair with a dimed valve amp at our next gig. Well worth taking at look at this brand and they are very helpful. The Thunderbird options look rather tasty. In some of the demos the playing is very close to the bridge which may not reflect general use, so I'd use judgement and ask for advice if you're not sure. Also to note is how good the stock pickups are (US spec in this particular model). I'll see if I can get a recording posted, as describing sounds in an objective manner is rather tricky.
  9. SOLD Stone Deaf FX Q Boost - Limited Edition. Wonderfully versatile Boost / Fuzz / OD box usable for both guitar and bass. This is from a UK company making some very impressive products; this pedal in particular was from a limited run of (I think) 500 units. The regular ones go for £145 and the limited edition ones seem to be very rare on the used market (only one I've found is on Reverb at £200 inc the box). Sold as seen i.e. without the original box but it does come with the extra goodies and will be securely packed for postage.
  10. Just had a seamless purchasing experience with Gav, another satisfied BC customer!
  11. SOLD £40 Hi all, Only used this at home a couple of times but is surplus to requirements. I can post within the UK or arrange pickup in North Somerset / Bristol. Full description here: https://www.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_gpa_100.htm Really great value and clean-sounding power amp, offering a cost-effective alternative to the standard brands. Pair with a modeller and you've got a compact gig-rig in one small package.
  12. Nabbed one of these used. Seriously good bit of kit. https://www.andertons.co.uk/guitar-dept/guitar-pedals/delay-pedals/walrus-audio-limited-edition-slarp-reverb-delay-pedal
  13. I know you haven't mentioned it but give the HX Stomp some consideration. It really does all those things pretty well and despite having various single pedal equivalents of the effects, I come back to the Stomp as a 'one box' solution. Great especially for the casual user and you don't need to adjust via a desktop interface. If you need the extra switches you can simply get an additional double switch box and TRS cable for about £25 or so. Also, there are always a few on the used market and if you don't like it, you will be able to move it on for more or less what you buy it for.
  14. Yup, went for the Zoom!
