  1. Yes, it is. I had one, so I can attest to this. Also, if you look at the photos, you came see that curved control plate and bridge (both full sized) sit closer together than on the full size ‘Ray.
  2. Trying out a new drummer last night, I took my JMJ along as the guitar player had said how much he liked it and I’ve been playing my P bass almost exclusively since I acquired it, last year. I’d forgotten how easy the Mustang is to play, especially around the first position. Looks like the P will be taking a back seat for a while now.

  4. Vincent’s take on a Mustang. If you’re thinking of that shape, you can’t go too far wrong with the Fender JMJ, which seem to be universally loved by owners (of which I am one). OK, the aged finish divides opinion, but it’s not overly done and there’s one for sale in the appropriate section of BC right now.
  5. The sexiest looking bass out there and the Firebird is the sexiest guitar ever. However, I just can’t deal with the ergonomics of either of them. If I had untold pots of cash, I think I’d have one of each, just to look at (I’d probably still try and play them though).
  6. Fame by association. You’re keeping good company there.
  7. Why Does It Hurt When I Pee - Frank Zappa
  8. Given how much grief it gets for looking like a toilet seat, no mention of the Bongo yet. I don't mind it all. However, the... are not one I'd ever want to own, I love the original T'bird, but the non reverse looks like Gibson just couldn't be bothered to me. That said, I know that there are plenty of folk who love them and the Ox used that shape his Fenderbird, IIRC. Horses for courses, beauty in the eye of, etc.
