  1. You can also find some quite high quality midi files for free or for a few quid on most tunes. Those files hand in hand with some choice VSTIs can get you a pretty decent basis of a track. Then add little bit of your own playing on top for abit of flavour. That's what I do for the tracks with my band. It can take a bit of time, but I quite enjoy the process! Just need to ensure you dont use the very obvious and unnatural midi file bits.
  2. If i was 14 today i'd ask for a 2nd hand peavey tnt 115. Sounds great. plenty loud. easy to move about. lots of ins and outs. Completely future proof.
  3. My wee band that do a gig about every 12 months will be doing a big show in Glasgow next year. Movie themed rock covers.
  4. Bought a US jazz. It felt like it had werid dimensions despite having great experiences with many US, mexican and other Jazzes.. Hated it.
  5. Anyone using one of these as an IEM signal splitter? Any thoughts positive or negative? I currently have 3 individual boxes rackmounted which work flawlessly, however I think replacing them with this would do the same job and up my split channels from 3 to 8 in the same rack space, which would be worth the money. The fact they have the input and XLR output on the front side makes cabling much easier.
  6. worst piece of kit: LEKATO In-Ear Monitor System MS-1 Bought on an impulse to test against my xvive system, and as a back up. Really flimsy, and every connection crackled on even the slightest bit of movement. Dont send many things back. I returned this.
  7. One of these. Cort a5. Absolutely astonishing bass. So comfortable to play and sounds tremendous. It's quickly became my #1!
  8. I had the C4 and that was great. Although I've heard nothing but good things about the newer MXR Bass synth. pricey though.
  9. I didn't find any usable synth sounds from my B3n. I loved mine too, but for synths, not much use. To be fair, my HX stomp is pretty useless for synths too.
  10. Sounds like you more than half way there anyway so aye, maybe indivudal pedals will suit your needs and budjet.
  11. problem with building a "cheap" pedal board is that you still need to get a power supply, cables, and preferrably something to mount them on and a case. Alll the boring bits of a pedal board quickly add up. That's why, IME, a multifx is far more suitable for people who either only need a simple setup or who dont require a specific set of sounds that certain standalone pedals offer.

  13. Sell the pedals you've got and get a 2nd hand HX stomp. They seem to be about £300 just now. Ok, slightly more money, but you'd be sorted for life for a bass set up, guitar set up, and a general effects unit. Or a tonex one brand new. that would give the same functionality as to what your potential pedal board could do.
  14. I cant help you with a bass but how long you in Tenerife for?
