I'm hoping to buy the Sub Sterling in the next few weeks as an upgrade to my starter bass. Learning pretty fast after moving over from guitar so feel like treating myself. Not bad at £375 either. Looks great in white too i hope theres an off white.

I can buy some. Whole thing shouldn't cost much. It plays nice already will new capacitors change the sound much if at all?

Should I change all the wiring or is there no need?

Hi guys, I am currently getting a crackle/buzzing from all 3 knobs on my peavey milestone 3. I have read into it and I think I will replace all the pots myself. While I am at it I might as well change the output Jack. Am I right in thinking I need 2 tapered and one linear 250k pots, the linear one being the volume? Also is it worth putting in new capacitors? .022's? I don't know anything about this kind of thing but I'm quite excited about getting my hands dirty so to speak, and there's a lot of info online saying its easy

Hi guys, i've been lurking here a while and recently registered so i could buy a couple of effects pedals so i guess it is time to say hi! I haven't been playing bass very long, maybe a few months. I played drums for quite a few years when i was younger, then children came along and took over my music room so i went to guitar for many years, which has now led me to bass. Maybe i am going to try to learn everything who knows! I'm being thrifty at the moment and trying to put myself a reasonable starter setup together, whilst not allowing the Mrs to tell me its a fad and i'm waisting our money again haha. I did buy a couple of 14ft canoes once though on a whim so i can't blame her really. I did sit in one of them once though on grass. I love funk, motown/northern soul, reggae, maybe a bit of Tool or Metallica depending on the mood. So far i'm playing on a peavey milestone i picked up on gumtree, a peavey 50w microamp i got off ebay (for 16 quid, local pickup!), a micro Q-tron, EBS Fuzzmo, and on the way should be a KORG DT-10 tuner. I am considering a chorus pedal, volume pedal, maybe a drive DI. Maybe a divorce at this rate.

I got my EBS Fuzzmo yesterday, its a lot of fun and feels like a tank too. Was £42 on Amazon, pretty sure i got the last one though!
