I`ve got a Polytone Minibrute IV amp (suppose someone has to). It sometimes takes a few flicks of the on off switch to get any sound out of it, although the power light comes on every time, but now it keeps cutting out even when I`m using headphones (thought it might be shaking a bad connection at first). Not sure of its age but its quite an old 15" 100w solid state amp, no valves. Any ideas.

Switched to D'addario flatwounds `cause strings are so expensive I leave them on for about 6months (until they`re really dead). Decided to switch to flatwounds because I like the slightly dead/bassy sound of worn in strings. Once I tried them I knew there was no going back, fresh new strings have an amaizing grand piano twang to them.

I bought an RC20XL thinking I could use it like the repeat function on a korg pandora (I now realise I`m after a delay pedal), but it has been very usefull. It did take some getting used to and the fact that it has no headphone jack is most annoying (you have to plug it into your amp or similar then use headphones off that). As said it is a very solid pedal and the double pedal makes it much better than the single pedal version. I`m no virtuoso so I can`t do the amaizing things possible with it, I`m thinking of selling mine so I can buy the twin pedal Boss delay.
