  1. Female Keyboard player got a tag for benefit fraud. She'd claimed loads in disability whilst being OK. I left, band then folded immediately. Shame, it was a great originals band. Singer and her were an item. Recently, their both in new relationships, but he was on holiday with her and her new husband....who's his double. In a photo, I thought it was him!
  2. Sold Joel a new cable. Brilliant BC'er, instant payment and great comms. More evidence in favour of us lovely Stingray owners.... Thanks Joel!
  3. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 1 post to view.
  4. Brand new, still sealed and unused. 25ft Ernie Ball cable in black. Bought in error, so this one has to go. Retail at £35, I'm only asking £25, and that will be sent free to you within the UK. Payment by PayPal gift please, PM with any questions/interest. Thanks for looking! SB IMG_1417.HEIC IMG_1416.HEIC
  5. Also used to run a MB 121 combo with a 12" cab. Very nice. I now run a 2x12 MB cab. Seperate amp (Little Marcus 58R). Either way, a MB 2x12 works brilliantly, whichever way you achieve it.
  6. Definitely my attack, string choice, Markbass. Whether I gig with my 'Ray or Ricky, to me, I don't sound a million miles apart!
  7. I find it with older basses in general. My Stinger is a 2010 2-band. Easily adjustable, battery compartment a breeze to access....it sounds just like a Stingray to me! Can't see the point in going backwards. Had the same issues with my old Ricky 4001's. Never found anything that I couldn't get from a newer, more adjustable instrument that I'd rely on. Just my opinion, others may have different results....
  8. Not at all, really. Only a few albums in the house....Mum's old Elvis....GI Blues, Something For Everybody and Blue Hawaii. Not his best! Carpenters 'brown' compilation....'69-73? Plus my brothers Wombling Songs album. The latter got me into music, Mike Batt is a legend in my book for the doors he opened with those songs. So as a bassist, no influence, but getting into a lifelong musical obsession....yes!
  9. Please excuse my lameness on this.... I'm never been a pedal user, but have recently been dipping my toe in the water. Using a Dunlop phaser, and now an Electro Harmonix chorus. I run the phaser lead in, lead out to amp. The EH has got an Amp, and Input socket. Am I right that I can just run a patch cable from the phaser to the input socket? Then amp to the...amp? Also, I can power one with a 9v cable, that will do both? I know it's mad, but after years of plug and go, I'm entering a new and exciting world!
  10. Anyone caught any of the dates so fat? I'm going tomorrow, first time seeing GH. I've always loved Mk. 3 and 4 Purple since hearing as a late 80s teen, far prefer it to any of their other material. As a soul fan, I always appreciated that element of era. 'Come Taste The Band' is maybe my top Purple album. I always read how he's in fine voice, so looking forward to this. Not sure if he'll perform the whole of 'Burn' or not - just hope he does 'Lay Down, Stay Down' - always been a personal fave of mine!
  11. Two 4-pole speakon cables. Both as new....tried, but never anything more. I replaced the amp which uses 2-poles....so no longer have any use for these. One is an Orange, the other a Stagg, IIRC. Orange is 1m, Stagg is double, must be 2! Only looking for £12 for the pair, posted to your door in the UK. PayPal 'gift' please.
  12. Actually placed a Designacable order today. Green lead with yellow ends....😳
  13. Overrated - Vintage gear Underrated - Controversially, the Stingray. Think in recent years, its fallen out of favour a bit, and as such, represents a used bargain. Back in the 90s every indiie band had one....now, a bit under the radar?
