  2. Has anyone mentioned how great David is? Okay, he’s great. Just bought an amp bag from him - arrived quickly, well packed and a great price. He’s great. Just in case no one has said it.
  3. Was asked about weight earlier. It’s 4kg or just under. Have also been asked about neck-dive. These are light bodied bases so not as balanced as they could be. So, I’ve swapped out the elephant ears for some Gotoh tuners I took off a Fender Jazz I had. They are 60g companies to the 80g of the originals. So, it’s now 80g lighter and better balanced. 🙂 I’ll included the originals in the sale.
  4. Hey there - does this run of a standard UK power supply?
  5. I can give you a shipping estimate - sure. I’ll DM you.
  6. Just sold a PJB amp to Dave. Lovely guy. I’ll happily sell more stuff to him if he’ll let me.
  7. It is! 35” scale just isn’t for me…. plus I bought 3 more basses in the meantime…
  8. Oh, I’ve got a tort pickguard as an alternate if you like too.
  9. Cheers dude. It’s a great starter bass (and has been setup excellently by myself :-)) Happy to do a deal to help out a beginner.
  10. for sale (no trades) Great little amp - home and practice use only. I recently bought a bunch of Trace Elliot gear and some FR FR cabs so need to create space. The Small Practice Amp That Can Be Used Live Sometimes all you need is an amp that can deliver true bass tone without the hassle of hauling a big rig amplifier. The Bass Cub is 100 watts of pure tone in a “shoebox” size package. It is so light, that it can be lifted with one finger! With these features and great sound there is no longer an excuse you cannot practice. It can sit on the floor or on top of a desk. Two independent channels can accept two instruments or one microphone. It also has a stereo input for Drum machine or iPod/MP3 player. Practicing can be done with the 2 internal speakers or headphones. It can sit on top of, and be connected with a PB-300 250W active cabinet, making a 350W powerful stack. Complete with bag and manual. Happy to post - additional cost.
  11. For sale (no trades) Great bass, bought as a backup to my Fodera (it does a fine job). However, I’ve now far more basses than I can justify. A superb gateway into the time-honored Fender® family, the Squier® Affinity Series™ Precision Bass® PJ delivers legendary design and quintessential tone for today’s aspiring bassist. This P Bass® features several player-friendly refinements such as a slim and comfortable “C”-shaped neck profile, a 4-saddle bridge for solid string stability, and vintage-style open-gear tuning machines for smooth, accurate tuning. Loaded with a Squier split-coil P Bass neck pickup and a single-coil J Bass® bridge pickup for a wide variety of tones, this model is ready to help lay the foundation for any player at any stage. Happy to ship - additional cost.
  12. I recently bought a 2011 Overwater Aspiration Elite from franzbassist on here. I was in the market for a nice but inexpensive fretted 5 as a second bass, and this fitted the bill really well. However, I now have more basses than fingers and it’s time to rationalise. So, first of all it's in great condition. I don't think there's a mark on it anywhere. It's a five piece neck through, maple and something walnut-like would be my guess, with what appears to be an ash body capped with a burl maple top. It's 35" scale, so a nice tight B string, and the 19mm spacing at the bridge is great. EQ is a three band Overwater system designed by John East. The control cavity is thoroughly shielded using paint and copper tape. The bridge and pickups are Overwater branded too, but I assume made in Korea along with the bass itself. The standard tuners were mini Gotoh-like ones, but were swapped for Gotoh ResOLites which take the weight to bang on 9 lbs and have sorted the balance. Other than that the bass is stock. Live, the bass is really articulate: every note comes through crisp and clear. Lots of complements for how great it sounds, and how versatile. Happy to ship in the UK for additional cost.
  13. For sale (no trades please) NOW £275 (these are £545 new) Great bass, really punchy tone, despite being a ‘Motown machine) Had this for a few years, light and easy to play. My bass collection is getting too big, so must downsize. Happy to post in UK. Additional cost. I have the ash trays etc. just never fitted them. I’ll include a soft case. Does everything a Fender P would do. Just lighter and more playable. 🙂 A TRIBUTE TO THE GOLDEN AGE OF MOTOR CITY SOUL Inspired by the wonderful, warm tones heard on countless, classic sides from the unstoppable Tamla-Motown hit factory, the Bass Centre brings you the Bass Collection Detroit Bass. A soulful little number, the Detroit sports eye-catching, period-accurate finishes and pickguards, a light-weight body design, the Bass Centre's trademark "Super Slim Sixties" ® neck profile, a single split single-coil pickup with exposed pole pieces and a vintage bridge assembly with knurled saddles. Chrome "ashtray" pickup and bridge covers and flat-top control knobs complete the full-on, retro look.
