Hey all, I was on BW but rarely logged in - too much other web vying for my attentions I think. Have to change that. I play groove stuff (Nu-jazz, funk, DnB, hip-hop, dub, etc). I have a good ear so I can lock in based on what I hear, instead of needing to know the key and chord sequence. I've been playing since I was 8. Violin with theory, then lead guitar from 12 and bass from 23. I play SeiBass Jazz fretted and fretless 5s mainly, use a Hartke practice amp at home and often in through PAs when I'm out, although I now have an Ampeg SVT 2 Pro (all valve) and PR410-HLF (ported, widest frequency range of any Ampeg cab, I think) to mess with, if it doesn't break my back first! My regular gig is at Exit in Brick Lane (London, E1) where I play a 4 hour freestyle groove set with Naph-Tali every Friday. Think that's about it. Looking forward to making more of Basschat.
