1. Ah balls! I did try to post about a month ago but it failed and I didn't get round to sorting it. That'll learn me!

3. AMT S25B mic and preamp for sale. It is the older model but has had the upgrade to allow disconnection of the cable. Great mic but I don't have much use for it any more. Thanks for looking, Pete
4.
I can vouch for Pete as a thoroughly decent chap and a very fine player to boot.
Thanks Jake! I couldn't ask for a better appraisal. Don't believe him about the playing though!
5. Hi, I have an old (Circa 1875) German 3/4 flatback double bass for sale. It has just undergone full restoration including new bass bar, tailpiece, end pin, bridge, soundpost, fingerboard re-shoot, new strings, repairing of all cracks etc. Looks and sounds fantastic and would make a fantastic workhorse bass for jazz or classical playing. The luthier (Colin Cross, Buxton violin shop) has guaranteed all of the work for two years which is a massive bonus I think. He valued the bass in its current condition at around £5500 but I'd be happy to sell for £4750 as I need the cash for a studio conversion. The string length is 42". I played the bass for years without realising that quite a lot of work needed doing (naive I know but I was young!). It was only when it started making horrible buzzing noises that I got it looked at and found out that there were a number of open cracks etc and and all the hardware (which was original) needed replacing. I was then forced to buy a new bass whilst the work was being carried and so this one is now surplus to requirements. It now sounds and feels so much better than it ever did when I had it! Never mind...you live and learn! Anyway, I have attached some photos (including a few taken by Colin to show the work that has been carried out). I'm based in Manchester if anyone wants to come over and have a try, or just let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for looking, Pete
6. Yeah sorry, should have Internet by next Wednesday. Just moved house and BT are being crap. Will put some pics up then. I'm based in Manchester. Pete
Pics and location a must. Are you in Filey?
7. Lovely old german bass from around 1875. Just had loads of work done including new bass bar, endpin, tailpiece, bridge, re-shooting fingerboard, crack repairs etc. All work guaranteed. I'm after £4750 which I think is a very good price. The luthier thinks I've under-priced it but I need it sold. Can't attach photos yet because I only have Internet on my phone at the moment. Will hopefully upload them in a few days or I can email them if anyone's interested.
8. Sorry, forgot to put the price! I'm looking for £4750
9. As you can see from the photos, the bass has just undergone major restoration including repair of cracks, strengthening/bracing where required. It has also had a new bass bar, tailpiece, bridge, soundpost and endpin, re-shooting of fingerboard. The work cost £2500 and is fully guaranteed by Colin Cross in Buxton. The bass has literally just been put back together so I don't yet have any photos of it in one piece. However, I can get some if required. It is currently in Buxton violin shop but I intend to bring it back to Manchester next weekend if anyone would like to try it out. The bridge is currently set up for arco but this can be lowered for jazz for no extra cost. There is also a fishman full circle (worth £200) thrown in (although this hasn't been fitted). UPDATE: Just got the bass back from the luthier and it looks and sounds amazing. Very resonant and feels extremely sturdy. I have added some pictures.
