1.
are there any other producers that are bassists?
Can't believe no-ones mentioned Mike Howlett. Bass player for Gong. Put together a band called Strontium 90 that later found fame as The Police. A founding member of the Record Producers Guild, now called the Music Producers Guild (of which he is currently chairman) http://www.mpg.org.uk/home Grammy Award winning producer, check out the biography: http://www.mikehowlett.co.uk/ Gratuitous groove link Not like I'm a fan or anything
2. Lovely bass this. 2001 model IIRC. Bought new by me in 2002, sold to Perry just over 12 months ago on a previous incarnation of BC. I'd be tempted to buy it back if I hadn't recently bought a Streamer Stage II. Good luck with the sale mate, Simon.
3. Well, It says in the blurb "7 band semi-parametric EQ"? and in the specifications only lists 2 band semi-parametric and 2 shelving (but lists Treble +/-15dB Frequency 3.5kHz to 10kHz as shelving :-0) and looks like 3 band semi-parametric and 1 shelving on the fascia? Awesome ;-)
4.
I'm learning it at the mo and have a hell of a time working out where to come in after the vocals each time! Any help appreciated!
If you listen carefully Bonham clicks his sticks once to lead back in after the vocal, except the for the second verse, where its timed with the end of the vocal Hope this helps, good fun when you crack it!
5. Sorry mate, this has gone, didn't post it had coz it was so far down the list when it went! Si

7.
At the moment I am looking to upgrade to a lightweight rig - so currently favouring the Epiphani UL410, and would run it with a Mesa Boogie Bass 400 +.
Hey Luke, I emailed Epifani after reading something on another forum and they replied: "I hate to tell you that our cabinets are not formatted to work with tube heads. The damping factor of the tubes make the speaker flop and more subject to blow." Thats why mines for sale Simon.
8. Hi, I'm in the midlands, Burton on Trent.
9. Hello All, Signed up for BW/BT and now found me way here I'm nearly 40 (that'll be 39 then ) been playing bass on and off about 8 years, but taking it fairly seriously in the last 12 months or so, shame the last band split recently Into rock (mainly classic), funk (ditto) and some psychedelic stuff. Play a 3eq Stingray and Sadowsky Metro MV4 through an Orange AD200B mk3 + Ampeg SVT410HE (until GAS gets the better of me ) Simon
10. The Frank Bello Sig is £649 at the Bass Centre
11. Epifani T410UL, 8 ohm, 1000 watts power handling. Lightweight 4x10, around 57lbs. Bought off Chopthebass a couple of months ago. Excellent condition. I've hardly used it, never gigged it. Recently found out it's not really suitable for my valve head (That'll teach me to buy something without doing me research, eh?) Looking for £575. Would prefer collection, but could post if necessary (at buyers expense). Simon.
