I'm happy with the site, but I know there's always something that can be improved on. Or at least there's a good possibility that I've a few typos in there.... or sentences that don't make sense.

The last time I put together a new website, Si was here to help, and help he did, as usual far beyond the call of duty. I couldn't believe how much time and effort he put into helping me. He made a huge difference, and I learned a lot from him. He was an amazing person, there's no doubt about that. I miss the back and forth banter, even though it was always over email. Anyway, the old site was starting to look a bit dated, so I went and updated it. It all seems good so far, but I know that amongst you eagle eyed bass chatters there are sure to be some good observations / suggestions. So, if you see anything that doesn't make sense, or could be done better, let me know, I'm not sensitive and don't mind criticism. All I'll ask is that you put yourself in the shoes of the potential clients.... 9 times out of ten that will be a newly engaged couple looking to book the perfect band for their big night. Also, we spent quite a bit on our videos this time around, so any feed back on them would be cool too. The website is www.thepanoramics.com Thanks everyone.

Great idea, I'll definitely download the software first. I will indeed be adding some fixtures later, moving heads and what not. For now, I'm going to stick with the footswitch that came with the Stage Tri LED. I'll slave the 2nd one to the first, so at least I can turn the lights on and off, and I should be able to make them do one or 2 different programs. Even this will be a big improvement what we have now, which is everything on sound active.... which looks terrible. I'll connect the 2 jelly lights too, maybe they'll even take cues from the simple footswitch. I'll let you know how I get on with it, and I'll post a video of the final results here too for the craic. This is why I love bass chat, there's always someone willing to show an interest in the little things, even geeky DMX stuff, so thanks a million again I really appreciate your time.

Ok, so I went straight to the horses mouth.... gave the lighting dept in Thomann a call. He was very helpful, but it looks like the protocall on the footswitch isn't compatible with the LED lights I have. :-0 At least I know now, and can stop wasting time faffing about with it! Looks like I'll have to re - think my strategy. Thanks again for taking to time to look at this guys. Legends.

I know, it feels like "P" should be for program....but I'm not sure that it is. It seems like "PR" is the program mode. I accessed the "P" in a different way than I would the "PR" mode... Thanks guys for replying to this less than exciting problem that I'm having. The controller is a stairville LED foot 8. It might be a pretty new product, as there's almost no info about it on the net. I got it on Thomann, and it did come with a manual, although I can't find a copy of the manual online at all. Thanks for the reply dad2235. That's strange.... I can hear audio when I click on the link. I explain my lack of DMX knowledge during the video, and probably sound like a tool while I do! I'm a DMX novice, but trying to upgrade the band's lighting system. Pretty simple stuff so far, just a footswitch controlling a few led fixtures. I've a rough idea of how it all works, but I could have the wrong end of the stick. So..... to save me explaining it all here, I've made a short video of me trying, (and failing) to set up some Dmx stuff. It's about 5 minutes long, so if anybody has the patience to watch it, and might be able to show me what I'm doing wrong, that would be way past amazing. Many thanks. [/quote] I've got 2 channels for my tops (per power sub) that will go as low as 4 ohms. I used to run 2 speakers (8 ohms each) from each output, so I know the amp is happy to run 4 ohm speakers. So long as I don't clip the hell out of my amps, I suppose the speakers should be happy enough with "only" 500 watts each. I'd like to buy the matching subs too.... but at the guts of 3 grand a side that's not going to be happening any time soon! Plus I'm pretty happy with our subs in terms of power. [/quote] No I don't think they'll let me borrow them, but I did get a good chance to A/B the system against a few others. It sounded very very good, with plenty of low end but no holes in the frequency response that I could hear. So long as they won't explode, I'm going to buy them. At the moment we have EV ZX3's which aren't bad, but compared to the TS400 they sound terrible!
