  1. never even have me a nudge. a message. a call. did I not say when you wanted did to do the above?!
  2. Bought some bits from Beedster. Nice guy and all sorted quickly
  3. thanks for all the input guys. im currently due to some of the information on here looking at xotics and sadowkys. just on a side note what about shukers? no love?
  4. I realise this is probably a polarizing question. But who does everybody believe makes the best jazz bass? I'm talking£1000-£2000 Mark New or used. I'm not particularly bothered about the electronics just the overall build quality. We looking at fender, maruscyk, lakland, sandburg, mayones? What's everyone's opinions? I've only ever had fender jazzed but would love to hear others thought. Cheers people
  5. Pleasure doing buisiness with jim. Speedy postage and great communication.
  6. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Flea-Red-Hot-Chili-Peppers-Signed-Orange-Fleabass-Guitar-W-Sketch-PSA-Y45843-/400936269552?hash=item5d59a9f6f0 maybe optomistic?
  7. It's a Frankenstein jazz, ash body, flame maple neck with rosewood fingerboard. Fender noiseless pickups with a mayones preamp. But I'm wanting to go back passive. I had a 64 custom shop relic so was thinking of the CS 60's ones? Wizard/hortrod 60's possibly? So many to look at
  8. im looking for a set of jazz pickups. ideally i want a nice vintage sounding 60's set. whats peoples general consensus on the best sets available?
  9. So I'm thinking of getting a shortscale 4 string as a backup to my jazz and P. Now ideally as a huge Garry Tallent fan I'd have this http://spectorbass.com/shortytrade-garry-tallent.html however this is currently logistically and financially beyond my means. So the question is now. what to try? I don't really like sg basses as the neck shape feels all wrong. Any advice would be great. Thanks
  10. I've been using an orange crush 50w for these kind of gigs. Although it's not the lightest it's pretty portable and I've not had any problems being heard. It says 50w but sooo loud. I've only needed to DI it once that I remember.
  11. As I said I've never seen one of these.
  12. No it's a solid body. The wood is possibly stained and then it's got a lacquered finish like a peavey cirrus kind of look
