  1. And here’s another one with a signature line that’s also the intro😃. This time double stops. I played this loads 10 years ago, it was very popular for a season.
  2. Here’s one - it even starts on the “signature “ bass line. I played it a few times back in the day.
  3. Looks very cool indeed!
  4. Very sad to read this, I had no idea about his 11yr battle…. I only met him once, in 2021, but it stood out. I agreed to buy a green Stingray Special 5 from him and we agreed to meet a month or so later when I was on holiday in the Forest of Dean. When I got there, he had two Stingray Special 5s with him. “I thought you might want to try them both in case you liked the other one better” he said. Amazing generosity. I did like the other one better, bought it and that thoughtfulness stayed with me. Thinking of his wife and family.
  5. Very kind of you Andy - I've certainly been called much worse!
  6. You played great mate, what a cool gig to land!
  7. Having too much fun on stand 33 with @walshy and @AndyTravis I played about 8 Pbasses from ‘63 to ‘72, all different, all magnificent!
  8. Get well soon @Richard R Heading over shortly with my son and a few pals. There’s nothing I need but I still have funds from a recent sale on here…..so who knows what may come home with me!

    Gar feedback

I did a textbook trade with Gareth today after some prompt and clear comms. He took my Sterling Ray 5 and I left with a Genzler cab. It was great to meet him and chat about bass playing, gear and band shenanigans too. Don’t hesitate to deal with him.
  10. I've had this bass uke for a few years now but it never gets used so time to find it a new home. It has an excellent B-Band pick-up (same brand I use on my double bass) and comes with a strap and gig bag. The strings are original but have less than 15 hours of playing time on them. These sell for £125 new. Collection from Kinver near Stourbridge or shipping at the buyer's expense. No trades thanks. You can find my feedback here:
  11. This Sterling by Music Man Ray 35H was bought as a spare to my Stingray Special 5 last year. However, a change of band means I only play a P bass these days so this is no longer needed. I have never gigged with it and it's lived in its Sterling gig bag in my smoke-free house ever since. There is one small scratch that the previous owner did on the lower horn & scratchplate. I've used his photos and you'll see it on there; however, IRL it's hardly visible unless you look get close. Weight is 3.99kg per the previous owners photo and that feels right to me. It wears the rounds it came to me with. I think it's a really good looking bass, in a traditional way, with the dark sunburst finish and roasted maple neck. New, these seem to go for over £1,200 at the usual UK retailers. Happy to meet within a reasonable distance of Stourbridge if that helps. Shipping would be possible at the buyer's expense. As for trades, I'm not really looking for more bass guitars but, if you have something 34" and less than 8.7lbs, try me. I'm more likely to be tempted by a good lightweight 1x12 cab or an amp. My feedback thread is below:
  12. Yes, it has side dots including a double dot at the octave. Thanks to @pete.young and @Clarky for your helpful comments.
