We've now got our hands on them and they're actually much better than [i]we[/i] expected! The tone is somewhere between a Jazz (bridge pup) and a MusicMan, very nicely put together and the tone control has a big effect on the sound. The necks are fast and the pickup is very responsive. All in all, it's a very playable bass.

Thank you for the feedback - we'll talk to our manufacturer and see if there are further improvements that can be made.

Hello all, I've been in touch with Ped and he's happy for us to post a reply here. GreeneKing (the OP) was contacted the same day by email apologising for the problem and a replacement was immediately sent out. Hopefully there have not been any similar problems since. We welcome any comments about the Bass Collection Comfort Strap. This unfortunate incident is the only problem we're aware of regarding the structural performance of the strap (out of the hundreds sold), however the design has been modified and we believe the latest version is the most robust to date. Clarky - can you clarify that your strap was a Comfort Strapp and not a Bass Collection strap? Many thanks.
