This bass has been owned by me since the early 1980s and needs a new home (as I want a Thumb, and something has to go!) It was fitted with EMG pups 20 odd years ago, and apart from that is original. The wear you can see on the pictures is not down to the wood, it is the lovely polished patina that comes only with use. It has not been played for many years and would probably benefit from new strings and a set-up. It has a foam-lined wooden case. The asking price is £900.00 or would trade/px for a Thumb. Did I mention that I want a Thumb.....? Price now £700.00 - get yer money out! What I can say is that the repairs made have all been to a high standard. It seems mostly that there has been attention to areas where the wood has dried/cracked, these areas appear to have been secured using stiches or parchment, and animal glue - so are likely to be very old, and obviously sound. My bowmaker fitted a new ebony fingerboard and gave her the "once-over" some years ago, at which time he approved the repairs and found no problems.

It IS a pretty bass - and she plays beautifully! BTW, Thanks to whoever moved this to the correct section!

OK, Massive reduction in price! Electric gigs gone silly, and must re-equip in a hurry so I'll take £2000.00 for a limited period (i.e. until I can raise money from another source!) This has got to be a bargain!!
