Bass central in the states have them up for sale, and gear4music are advertising a delivery time of April. Looking forward to this pedal.

It was called the custom. Also had the cool neck joint

They are great basses, i've played a few and they had a very nice feel and tone. Also have met Tom himself a few times and he really knows his stuff and is passionate about what he does.

The mesa does not have a valve in the preamp. Its solid state.

A decent amp repair guy should be able to asses the problem, and let you know whats what.

Great basses. Got to play one of there P basses and really rated it.

If its a DI box unplug from the DI first then you bass. You should not get any pop.

[/quote] Metal bass players still(not all but a fair few) keep scooping the mids out, so there is not a great deal to fill that gap and there tone just disappears with the drums and guitars.

I've been lucky enough to have had a Pearce, Ampeg BSP and spent plenty of time on the Suncoast. The Suncoast is really a monster pedal, the clean tones you can get from it are very nice, backing off the treble with a slight bass boost and mid of your choice can result in some very pleasing fat clean tones. There is enough bite from the treble control to get some awesome slap tones. The overdrive section on the Suncoast is a real monster, like Ant i would have liked the ability to sweep the mid range but the frequency selected is about where i would have it, so the harmonics in the note just pop out and you have that fantastic bite and grind in the mid while maintaining a firm structure to your tone with the clean channel. It does to the insane(but usable) very very well and its a tone i really like, but it also does mild break fantastically well when used in the OD1 setting.

The new Fender Rumble's are ok. The drive is rather nice, and the price is not to bad.
