1. Perhaps. As Skank alludes to. What about some sort of 'megastore' hosting gear for multiple manufacturers where a soundproofed booth was a tenner for an hour, or fifteen for two and all sorts of guitar, amp and effect combinations could be tried out in that time. You'd have to order whatever you might then want to purchase but leads and picks etc would be in stock as usual.
2. Vt bass is the more mid ranged focused pedal and has a dedicated mid control knob. The driver has no dedicated mid control but has a blend to mix clean bass with the drivers distortion. Don't know how they'd do with the blackstar in their loops. Both the sansamp pedals have loads of distortion in them and with either one you may find you can do away with the blackstar and the eq pedal.
3. Low A!!! Asking a lot of any cab but a dedicated subwoofer probably.
4. Sunday in the kitchen will always find me skanking http://youtu.be/yjg6flu3zuc
5. I was half heartedly dragged to their kentish town gig last week. What little I'd heard of them prior to that hadn't enamoured me but I wouldn't of said I'd hated it either. Really glad I went because they were great live. Very dynamic, tight, powerful stuff. Thought the drummer was fantastic and the bass player very watchable as she kind of loses herself in the performance. Singers style of singing loses me a bit but she's pretty intense. Was great.
6. you might be able to do something with this. http://youtu.be/v19YLjLTJjY
7. Good stuff. Like that. Don't stop. Your recording friend did a grand job.
8. Be worth taking a break, as much as you possibly can, from the activities causing wrist stress. Let the hands have a break. Then a couple of weeks of this stuff: http://youtu.be/0x5CcELeb_c http://youtu.be/hUyMNyrOHJQ
9. Had the chance to play 'Coma' full volume today. Excellent. So played it three times. How's the best way to buy to support your band. My Dad still lives in Germany. Down south an hour from Munich so if you ever play down that way let me know. Really liking Coilguns too so thanks for that as well.
10. Just gone to the streaming site and yes, your from Germany. Thank you goggle translate. Small world, although English, I was born in Munster near where you recorded this if the translate is correct.
11. Cheers Prengal Listened to No Heaven last night as well. Brilliant. Think I'm going to be a fan. Thanks for the link to your earlier album as well as I was watching some of the live bits on you tube of some of these songs. Your from Germany?
12. Good Vid, cracking song. Hope your very pleased with it because you rightly should be. Great sound to the band as you've not fallen into the trap of trying to 'sound' like the heaviest thing since the last heaviest thing. Very refreshing. Great dynamics and discordance. Also hard to pick out a band you sound like or are influenced by from this song which is great. At a push I'd say shades of the great Nasum but on your own terms. I certainly want to hear more. Anything on bandcamp or soundcloud?
13. It's either a dodgy pedal, they are all old now, or its the gain from your active. Maybe the pick ups are hotter and more 'hi-fi' than the pedal can handle. Which, especially if your using high levels on the high compression side, could be making it hiss loads. The pedal's not a true by pass pedal either. I can only suggest bringing down the volume knob on the bass (boosting the volume on the amp to get the loudness you need) and using little, if any, high compression. Other than that, yeah, time for a new pedal. Check out these reviews - great site: http://www.ovnilab.com/ Try to check the pedal with a low output bass and nothing else in the chain because if its not the pedal ie it just can't handle your set up at least you can sell it as a working one.
14. Can't see the tuner introducing noise but try without if you haven't already. Other questions, sorry - Are your basses actives? Are you volume knob on the bass on full type? Are you boosting the Eq knobs on the basses, especially treble, past their midway point? On the pedal are you turning up the High compression knob past the quarter point or the EQ balance past flat?
15. Is it the first pedal in your chain?
