1.
What ever happened to good manners and courtesy in the way members deal with each other on this forum? It's been discussed many times before about the rights and wrongs of people who join as members but never contribute anything on this forum other than 'For Sale' posts... And my personal view is that lack of basic courtesy + high prices + lack of support for the forum in general isn't the best way to be a member of Basschat. Otherwise, be more honest with members and be a recognised seller that sponsors the forum with some advertising, like other 'sellers' do.
Dear silverfoxnik, I joined this forum last June, after Basstalk closed, one month later than you joined and I'm a fully fledged member besides you as well so: A ) we're both doing nothing to support this forum B ) you're supporting this forum less than what you're trying to let me think C ) something's VERY wrong in the post counter here ...I help you: this is the 2nd bass I'm trying to sell, one is gone with less posts written than you think... .......if you still don't understand, the "bump" is not my favourite sport, here. Forums aren't usually a place where you MUST write something, if I find something interesting I'm glad to write about, according to my free time, opinion, knowledge of my boringclosetodislexic written English which many times makes me give up. Good manners and courtesy have been gifted by my parents, and they're surely, fortunately, definitely much way better than my English. Probably so aren't yours, as long as long as you judge mine reading this NY greetingless topic. Best regards About this bass price I just want to say I get next to the same price I'm selling here, and I swear it's far from 800-900£. The lowest I see was a bit more than 950£, I have no idea about its conditions. Like everyone's doing here and everywhere, I'm starting with a price, a reasonable price (I said 1100£ or around), it means it can be something less, it means I'm looking for a reasonable offer. Thanks for the interest, any kind of interest...
2. Rumble, everytime I sold a bass I based my price on 2 points: 1) what's the street used price 2) how much I paid for it and how low can I tolerate to go Of course I know I can't have any chance to a deal if my price is 100£ lower than a retail's (and it happened with the DJ5, but the Bass Centre had a veeery low price at that time). I also know that eBay is always (notice I didn't say usually) the last place where you want to sell a bass if you didn't sell it before in other ways/places. Please agree with me when I say we won't never match our ebay points of view
Right on dude (???)
I never felt such hot support since I fought George Foreman in Kinshasa. Thanks David
3. As I expected, everyone here looks for the retail price mostly wants to see. Last time my Lakland DJ5 was for sale, the best retail price was the Bass Centre's one....ok, Bass Centre sells this blonde chunk of wood for 1400£, The Bass Gallery for 1500£, I'm selling for 300£ or more less than the smallest price I've written below and it's a mint condition bass. Here, the street price for this bass is 1500€, someone sells it for 1600€, someone for 1300€. @Rumble: blessed be the day you will finish to compare street prices with eBay prices. I bought a NEW Lowepro Toploader camera bag for 30€ last week (who cares about photography here knows what I'm talking about) ...I would ask to pay the same price for a used one. eBay is also a matter of luck. Bump, by the way. Ah, Happy New Year. This isn't a post without NY greetings anymore....maybe it's still a post for an overpriced bass, who knows
4. Hi folks, for sale here's a Fender Jazz Bass Reissue 75 Made in USA. Ash body and maple fingerboard, with black blocks and binding. Included all the original accessories: neck strap, ashtrays, cable, manteinance wrenches and hard case of course. Its conditions are great, perfect, not a scratch, not a mark, both in woods and hardware. All the pictures are HERE Looking for 1100£ or around Shipping from Italy should be about 40£, I don't remember how much I spent the last time. Questions and requests are welcome!
5. Yes, he's a good guy....he removed the paint from the real Helloween's Markus Grosskopf Streamer Stage bass but he remains a good guy... Bought a Gerber EVO, and he's been an excellent seller!
6. Ummm....nice one....and it looks............familiar ^_^ It's a lovely bass, folks, perfect when OHM got it and I'm sure it still is. He treats instruments more carefully than a nurse with a baby.
7. What does mean if the Stingray 5 you dealed to trade with a Lakie DJ5 arrives at your home the day you expected and closed in a bombproof (more than Chabal-proof, mate! Not even the whole NZ pack was enough for breakin' it) package for keeping safe its new conditions? It means this guy has a special regard for his instruments. We kept a close and kind communications before and during the transaction. Thanks Nick! We have some good beer here too!
8. It's something beautiful! Congratulations!
9. I think a good result, too. I wasn't actually looking for a trade, but probably tasting something different could wake up my will to play the 5 strings too. The DJ5 is ready to be shipped, btw. I will be at post office in the afternoon....hopefully within the closing time
10. Bump! Back open to trades. Still open to reasonable cash offers.
11. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 1 post to view.
12. Absurd! The bass is still for sale, open to offers folks!
13. Sale pending.....a few days to think about how he could move from an active bass control pots to a Jazzy one.... I just wonder how could he be in panic if has to drive on the left side when going in UK
14.
Hi muya - it might be worth editing your first post cos I think people see the price there and then don't see your last post because they look no further.
Nice advice homer, I already edited some bits of the first post a couple days ago......but not yet in the most important parts of it PM replied, rockinbassman The bass may be sold later in the afternoon to a fellow bassist a few km from home
