1. Thanks, Greg Damn, my wife doesn't allow me to buy the 7-th bass, and I don't have a fretless 5-string for a trade, unfortunately 😂 Well, good luck with the sale! This is a great and beautiful bass at a great price!
2. Hi! Are you interested in trades? I can offer Leduc HMP524 I will pm detailed photos and info if you are interested.
3. It was a pleasure to deal with Hugues! Great communication, everything was very precise and smooth. And the bass arrived really securely packed! Surely, a great guy to deal with!
4. Here is a little morning jam on this bass Sorry for the quality. I don't have proper recording equipment, so it is recorded with an iPhone. Hopefully it gives at least some hint about the sound And also it is a proof that the bass is not broken and is working well https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6BMU9YCZ21RQU52UklCUGpkQ0U
5. Thanks for the comments guys, glad you like it! And bump for a price drop
6. Just bought a 5-string Yamaha from Bobby. He is a really nice and honest guy! The sale was very quick and smooth, and the bass arrived completely safe and well packed. It was a pleasure to deal with him
7. Price drop: [s]£[/s][s]1100[/s] [s]£[/s]1000 I would like to sell my Spector bass. I've had it since new, bought it in 2007. The bass has had a number of mods. It was defretted, but recently refretted again. The present fretwork is better than the original. The pickups were swapped for passive Delano SBC humbuckers, and there is a 3-way switch for each pickup (series/parallel/single coil). The preamp is Noll TCM-3PM (with parametric mids) with active/passive push/pull switch. There is one more switch (the chrome one) that is kinda strange. This is an on/off switch. It had to be added to install the preamp. Noll has a special jack socket that doesn't fit in the control cavity, and with usual sockets the battery remains active even when the jack is unplugged, so this switch has to be there. With these electronics the bass is less aggressive and more flexible. The bass was actively gigged, so it has normal playing wear, which is only cosmetic. No dings, cracks and stuff like that, though. The neck is one of the most stable necks I've seen (and I've used this bass in different odd tunings). It has Bubinga top on Alder body, which is quite rare on Euro series. Has Elixir Stainless Steel strings installed. The bass is located in Riga, Latvia. I can deliver to Lithuania and Estonia if there are any buyers Here is how it sounds in a metal mix (here it is fretless with original EMG pickups and Noll preamp): http://sandtrout.bandcamp.com/ Sound-wise, I totally like this instrument. The only reason I sell it is that I still cannot get used to the string spacing (though I've owned the bass for almost 10 years!). It has 17,5 mm on the bridge and a quite shallow neck, which makes it too narrow for me. But I know there are many people who like it Not looking for trades, as I have too many basses already and I've just bought one more
8. Totally agreed, these are great basses and great value for the money! I also own a Bogart, an old one, made in '91 I guess. Bought it here on BC, and it's been my main bass since then. Fits perfectly in any style from metal to jazz and always receives compliments from soundmen GLWTS!
9. I decided to sell my W&T. This bass was built for me in 2008. I used to play it a lot when I was in a prog-rock band, but now it's not getting any attention at all. I haven't played it actively since I quit the band, only took it to some jazz rehearsals, but now I don't do even that. I realised that a 6-string is just too much for me. I probably was too ambitious when I ordered it )) So, this bass has to go to someone who can use all of its potential. As I said, the bass used to be played a lot, so it has some wear on the back, on hardware and on the pickup cover (the birdseye maple has darkened). The fingerboard was sanded and the nut was changed by a local luthier a year ago or so. Here are the specs: - Alder body with chestnut tone block - Tanzanian blackwood top with flame maple stripes - 3-piece ash/maple/ash neck-through with purpleheart insert - Cocobolo fingerboard - Haeussel jazzbucker pickup - U-retro preamp (I guess), controls: volume, bass/treble (pull for bright), mid/mid freqency, passive tone (push/pull active/passive), single/humbucker switch. - Removable ebony ramp - Gotoh tuners - W&T bridge, which gives some extra tension to the strings. Not all strings fit, sometimes you have to buy extra-long sets, although it is 34" scale. Dunlops and Foderas fit well, but Elixirs don't. Currently wearing old Labellas, I will change them, of course. - Schaller straplocks Comes with the original W&T gigbag and truss rod keys. Trades are welcome, may be even more preferrable, than the sale I am looking for good fretted 5-string, so open to offers. The bass is located in Riga, Latvia. Here is the sound sample: http://margaritasanteporcos.bandcamp.com/track/wheel-of-time
10. Bought a Bogart bass from Dave. That was the smoothest international purchase in my experience. Recommend!
