  1. px list of needs updated, just incase anyone has any of them
  2. No takers, so, i tried it at a practice by connecting this right to the mixing desks RCA outs and plug into this in the line input in stereo set it to 48k/24 bit, pressed record and to be fair to it, it sounded great, so have decided to keep it as its a great little tool for that. so no longer available.
  3. good shout, it is indeed so cheap now days to get good results from stupidly cheap gear and even free software like reaper with free plugins. also the second hand market is just littered with interfaces, as people are always upgrading, so don't be afraid of using older gear, ( newer gear is NOT always better) im still using stuff over 20 years old ( some of it is over 40 years old) with very good results, so ignor all the gear snobs, just get something that gets you going. best bit of advice i can give is...... what ever you use to put your daw on, via laptop or pc, just use it for music production, no internet or anything else and switch everything else off on it you don't need, so you have not got loads of unnecessary processes going on in the background that will suck on your process and ram power.
  4. yea i agree, i also had to get my priorities right, so.... there use to be a thing called a cooker where my cds now are 🤪
  5. i could never understand why musicians get rid of their CDS ! i have a wall of jazzfunk jazz latin and releated 0f about 700. and to me each one of them not only represent a memory, but for me who is a writing musician releasing tracks they also represent, formats, ideas, colors, textures, what instrument sounds good with others, whats dark, whats happy how to create tension, when droping stuff out of a mix whats gluing stuff together, bass tones, and that's even before i start on FX, reverb types, mix styles bla bla bla. i think each one has something special to offer. so to me they are like a very useful library of tools and the thought of getting rid of them just to buy them again in another format seems stupid, so i keep them, some very very hard to get ones as well, yea... i like CDs 🙂 so if you getting rid of anything funkjazz related, im ya man. its the graveyard where all funky cds get to live agan :-)
  6. and just to prove the point, i got this today from "Muhammad Kashif" this was in answer to somthing i have for sale to shift incase anyone needed them cheap for £20 ! so if you ever get something like this or from him.. DONT click the link.. ".....Hi , are you interested in trade + money diff from me? This is my item : http:/facebook-marketplace ( number removed by me) .pe...... "
  7. yep been there also, you would not believe some of the stories i can tell of .... timewasters, scammers, people taking the pi$$, buyers that dont live in the uk, people asking stupid questions, people that have not read the description, people asking will i deliver half the country away people that do not turn up even though you waited in for them people asking 10 questions for days then "its ok iv found another one" people sending you dodgy links people asking you to swap for this, then sending you a dodgy link people asking for your address and contact number then radio silence. people offering a courier to collect with cash. people whos mum really want it but he is working off shore on an oil rig peoples buying for a son or daughter cus its their birthday they can pay but are out the country. people then when you click their profile have pics surrounded by palm trees, and live abroard people that are a pastor and want you to send to a friend yep facebook is rife with scammers, you have to be cautious. and can be a real pain in the crack. on saying all that, once you can navigate the minefield, i have met loads of really nice buyers and sellers. and the best bit.... no Ebay fees ! .... but at the cost of all the sh!t you have to put up with. my rule number 1,.... if it has to be sent....i dont except paypall, only bank transfer for obvious reasons. and if collecting its cash ONLY !
  8. i thought it was ace 🙂 what a machine, don't think of it as a bass, its not a bass even though it can do bass as well, its just new idea. you could call it a Batar 🙂 and if it opens doors for people then great, go for it.
  9. no problem with the music, , and yea the band is top draw, and for that i have about 5 of his cds. i can see ska making a come back, its just such great music, joyous, dancey, energy filled fun. im sure it will be on catch up
  10. that will be great, about time ska got some primetime ..only trouble is... its jools, 😞 al leave the "jools" rant right there to spare you all 5 pages of personal dislike 🙂 wont be able to watch it anyway as im doing the pa for a music fest, but do get the chance to play percussion in a gospel band, so win win, should be a great watch though... 🙂
  11. thats it, im upping my game 🙂 still a good clip
  12. seems its sold now ! anyone here get it ?
  13. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/925022498927184/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3Ae6aba774-9f05-4495-816e-a1b7d5e5108e original mk1 red head, looks like it needs a bit of love, cash converters in harlesden. cant see it lasting long at that price. https://www.cashconverters.co.uk/stores/harlesden
  14. that's interesting thanks for that, just checked and they must of released tones with that name as you get all the "now thats what i call 80s" American series of them all as well, and prob every other country has a version of it, they made a big fist full of cash from other peoples music.
  15. Ahhhh well spotted and amended 👍 Loads of great ideas, and some funny ones to keep the old chuckle muscle exercised 🙂 cheers guys, i will cut and past them all and add to the list in the op. "How about referencing something iconic from the eighties?" yea anything i think it has to have "UK" in it to show its an all uk band show, and also to show that its pop based maybe something catchy to say uk 80s pop show, you get the idea. Neon Yuppie Coke Machine, 80 Cans of Hairspray haha :-)
