Total Watts

  1. Fairfield and linden sold pending payment etc
  2. I was using these to get a B15 sound for my no amp bass gigs. It worked really well but I moved onto a Helix Stomp and EBS valve drive for increased tonal/effect options. All prices include postage Chase Audio Secret Preamp £125 In good condition, (small chip on the bottom edge) with original box, instructions, and business card. EP based preamp, the EQ switch adds so much If you need anymore info let me know can do PayPal or Bank Transfer I’m based in Newcastle so can meet up in the NE and I’ll knock the postage off the price
  3. The headphone is very noisy initially but then disappears after the unit has been on for about 30-60 secs
  4. Second gig for me with the backbeat g2 tonight. I’ve been asked experimenting with my setup somewhat. Tonight I’ve sent my bass into my pedal board, and from the through on my DI into the BB. I’ve sent my stereo IEM mix (minus bass) into the BB also and set it up so the bass drum gives me a thump in the back. I’ve plugged my IEMs directly into the BB and I can set the volume of the bass and IEM mix separately. The headphone preamp is fairly noisy but it all disappears into the full band mix! So tonight I have my bass sound as I want it with no EQ/Comp added from the desk( room adjustments can often leave me with a less than desirable sound), rumble from both the bass and the bass drum and a fully stereo and EQed/Comped band mix too! I’ll see how it goes. Soundcheck was very promising 🤞🏻
  5. https://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/D_%26_A_Stands.html i bought one of these (starfish active)around 2 years ago. 200ish gigs plus various studio sessions later and I reckon ill get at least 10 years out of it
  6. IMG_2186.HEICIMG_2187.HEICIMG_2189.HEIC failed attempt to upload pics
  7. This is an amazing pedal but I'm more of a set and forget kind of guy and don't feel I'm getting the best out of it. The saturation works really well for bass, even more so if you can run it in parallel. I used the double tracker mainly for chorus but have had some fun with slapback and flange sounds also. Its been scratch on one side (see pics) and has been gigged and used in recording sessions etc so not showroom condition. Some blurb I stole from Andertons: The Strymon Deco is not so much your typical effects pedal, but rather a tape simulation machine in a box, adding lush tape saturation and a "widening" effect to your sound. The Deco’s tape saturation smooths out your sound with tape-style compression, while the doubletracker feature thickens up your tone with subtle tape-driven transparent overdrive. Will post in the UK or you are welcome to collect from Newcastle
  8. IMG_0428.MOV Recently had some dimarzio model Js installed in my fretless. This is the bridge pickup with some comp, chorus, and delay added
  9. Here’s some info and pic. I still don’t have a good photo of this bass! yeah it was for a recording session where I really wanted the labella sound but needed a more articulate/pop sounding e string
  10. My solution to the overly thuddy broken in E (104)string on a set of Labella 760FL. I replaced it with the E from a set of 760FX (.96)! More tonally balanced with the rest of the FLs and surprisingly balanced tension wise too.
