  2. TC Electronic Corona Chorus Mini with the brilliant Toneprint function Excellent condition with box £50 Delivered in UK
  3. No, I knew I wanted one 2x12 cab and since getting it have passed on one of my old 8R 2x12s and taken the other apart. I have no desire to go back to using two of them, the only motivation would be to have something more 'stack like' for certain genres, in which case a dummy cab would work just as well. The only benefit of an 8R cab would be making it slightly easier for me to control stage volume. Now I am considering a 1x10, in which case I probably will go 8R as I could see potential to double it up for a small but portable setup.
  4. Gear of the Cat - Al Stewart
  5. You've lost that lovin' Feline - Righteous Brothers
  6. Still here and looking fabulous…
  7. Bought tickets for King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard in November and Kraftwerk in December. Can't wait.
  8. I guess my main point and question is, if any amp is underpowering the cab, which i guess the elf running a 300w 8hm cab will be, then surely it will give more power and lows to a 300w 4ohm cab?
  9. Love Cats - The Cure
  10. Continuing a clear out. Lindy Fralin Jazz bass set +5% windings. Bought from Bassdirect. In excellent condition. Only used for a few months on a bass now sold. Sat in the box ever since. Time for someone else to enjoy them. £165 shipped.
  11. Well, I've given it a go. Because it's a bankruptcy I don't have high hopes of it succeeding, but at least I've tried.
  12. Further news: it's now working and paired to both my phone and tablet. Positive Grid responded to me with some suggestions, the last of which was a factory reset. Did a factory reset and was able to pair with the phone. Then had another go at pairing with one tablet, making sure that the phone bluetooth was off, and it succeeded. I'm not going to try pairing with the second tablet, I've had enough stress already. The Spark app is a lot more sophisticated in appearance than the Boss Waza Air one (I've not had a Waza Air but did load the app to have a look at it). Not unlike the HX Edit program or Tonelib's Zoom editor, with pretty pictures of the components of the signal chain. I'll do more of a delve into it in the next few days. There's also an AI preset generator. Headphones are comfortable to wear, with the cups going fully over my ears. They're a bit heavier than the Boss ones (from reading the specs) but not enormously heavy. Sound quality is fine.
  13. I have a 34" scale bass with skinny posts placed very close the the nut and regular strings do not like the acute angle that they wrap around the post... as a result I can NOT put flats on that bass. I'm guessing it is similar with your Mezzo; it needs the skinny taper on 32" scale strings, 34" scales will be too 'fat'!
  14. Yup- for example Ampeg SVT valve heads which usually run at either 4 or 2 ohms.
  15. But that's no reason for a 4 ohm cab - you may as well just have a bunch of 8 ohm cabs and only take one! So what does "work" mean - more headroom?
  16. So what's best? Push fit or copper?
  17. You'd think this was a plumbing forum.
  18. I have used him in the past on an old Ric I had.. Black plate and TRC which he would only do on proof the Ric is genuine...
  19. Sadly, I need to let go of my very special Spector NS Pulse II 5-string bass. Asking price is £1,000. I replaced the Tone Pump Jr pre-amp with a multi-coil filtering pre-amp from Lusithand Devices. Stock EMG pickups, not had a chance to swap them out with an actual multi-coil pickups but sounds amazing even without. If you are after the Wal sound, this setup will get you very close. Excellent condition, no scratches or dings, low action, no buzz, straight neck etc. UK buyers only. I'd prefer collection in person, but happy to post it via UPS or similar service (no evri) at the buyer's expense. Hard case included in price. Any questions, let me know! Specs: Body Wood: Solid Swamp Ash Neck Wood: 3-piece Roasted Maple; Bolt on Fretboard: Macassar Ebony Number of Frets: 24 Inlays: Dots Nut: Graphite Nut Width: 1.75" Scale: 35" Neck: EMG 40DC Bridge: EMG 40DC Bridge: Hi-mass Locking Tuners: Sealed Die-cast String Spacing at Bridge: .66"
  20. Giving away your service for free sets the perceived value of that service. I bet they wouldn't ask a plumber to unclog a toilet for free giving the reason that they're short of money.
  21. Please could someone help me identify the date of manufacture for this Legend Classic 4 serial number W170329 ?
  22. If a venue needs musicians to play for free, "to keep it open", then it's not being run well and won't last long anyway.
  23. Valve amps can work better with lower impedance loads, depending on the output transformer load rating.
  24. Must be quite hard learning how to nail all those bass lines while singing everything slightly flat, à la Martin Turner.
