  1. Past hour
  2. Barry Whine (we've done the other permutation already)
  3. Golden Age Project Comp 2A Vintage-style single channel tube compressor / limiter. Transformer balanced input and output. Gain and peak reduction controls. VU meter for displaying gain reduction and output volume Bypass switch. XLR line input and 6.3 mm jack. XLR line output and 6.3 mm jack. Link input for stereo operation with a second Comp-2A. The Golden Age Project Comp 2A does that LA2A thing, nicely thickens up, and makes any source sound big and better! I mainly used it to track vocals and bass, which it did a great job on, getting a more professional finished sound and requiring fewer plugins in the mix. My only reason for selling is because I am downsizing my music studio space. Condition is used but very well looked after. Bedroom studio use only in a smoke and pet-free environment. £415 £5 p&p
  4. Yes a bit of stain will improve things, can always wire wool it if you go too far
  5. You're forgiven. Whether asking for Wonderwall is....
  6. Black Bear Tewkesbury. Large venue, absolutely rammed. Previous sound complaint issues have meant an in-house FBT PA which you ‘plug in to’. Fine in concept, but it’s underpowered for the job it’s trying to do. Result = all the tricks in the book to get sufficient vocal volume over the top of the acoustic drums and the hundreds on people. Just about…phew. IEMs all round took away the feedback problem the support band had wrestled with. The real problem was the arse at 11:15. Pissed, arrogant and obviously thick. We are playing, and you are gesturing that you want to speak to the singer and then me. Mouthing back that we can’t hear you, (IEMs) and that you should just gently bugger off. And what did he want of a band who’d been playing classic rock all night? Wonderwall. I must confess, I told the door staff that he’d been aggressive- he was ejected. Please forgive me. 😘
  7. Ishibashi are excellent but having imported from Japan it almost works out at an extra 1/3 on top of the bass price.
  8. Moving on this great, really lightweight, 15 inch speaker cab with horn. Loud and pairs nicely with a small amp - for example my Trace Elliott Elf which is also up for sale. You get the full power of the amp with it being 4ohm. All working correctly. Thanks, Alex
  9. Thank you @LukeFRC unfortunately this is all I see of the pedals and no scroll options
  10. Good colour though
  11. I would be wary of assuming it is 20%. I am fairly sure you'd be looking at 25%+ on the total cost, regardless of free shipping.
  12. Good to see you again @Bilbo
  13. OK. Thanks. GLWTS.
  14. I'm interested in those - will msg you.
  15. Mackie 802 VLZ3 mixer Cracking little desk, I've used it for home recording and gigs - sounds great for both. Tons of features, great mic preamps, full working order, complete with PSU (euro plug with adaptor). Selling as I'm just not using it any more. Manual here http://kunstencentrumbelgie.com/overbelgie/802VLZ3_OM.pdf £90 posted, knock a fiver off if you collect from Bewdley DY12 I'm in Manchester, Liverpool (ish) and Leeds over the next couple of weeks - happy to meet at a services or even drop off if you're near the right motorway. Trades - I'm interested in a Cioks Sol, Jamerson's original P Bass or *possibly* a compressor pedal - feel free to offer anything else.

  16. The "It's certainly not a big deal and an easy fix" is a sentence I can't here anymore as I've heard it too many times when I had my own workshop (as well as my father when he was an independent mechanic, so nothing new here). At the end, my answer was always the same: "Go on, help yourself, the tools are there." And guess what the embarrassed answer always was... If it's under warranty and you know nothing about electronics, but have done all you could do, which is putting a new battery and it's still not working, do what's been proposed to you by the store: Send it back and get it fixed. This is what warranty is for. 😉
  17. I have one, it is very good, possible to plug in your mic for your volume and eq and then a line out to the main PA ….it took me a while to sort that out. I position it on a low mic stand about 3 feet away facing upwards to me/my mic.
  18. I bought two Thunderbirds through Ishibashi without any issue.

  20. Great to see some old school iron still doing the heavy lifting. I’ll always commend someone choosing the gear they want to use over the ‘convenient’ alternative. This era of Acoustic looks divine. Speaking of heavy lifting, start the beer tab early and get a few mates in to carry this bad boy up the stairs. The Lexington has quite a few!
  21. Yes, Reverend make great basses, which are exceptional value for money. (I actually brought a Rev Fatfish 32 recently and LOVE it).
  22. I've been tempted many times to buy the AliExpress Lemmy signature bass. I'll certainly do it one day as I've always found it esthetically appealing and I had a lot of good surprises with these far East instruments. Of course, even if I'm a fretless player mainly into jazz, Lemmy was my first bass inspiration and I've seen Motörhead so many times: It's always been a delight as his presence was so huge and different.
  23. I'd say 5mm looking at it. Again, never been a problem. I think they sell them differently now. When I bought mine they all had Devon names. This is pretty much 'stock' but it's how I wanted it.
