  2. I quite fancy a Schecter Corsair bass but my inability to find a suitable proper lightweight flightcase that would fit it put me off. Even Schecter couldn't point me in the right direction.
  3. Thanks for this advice, I'd not really checked those things specifically but will do some investigation. 👍
  4. I’m American - Queensryche
  5. ‘Solid wood quality, fine workmanship, quality guarantee, free delivery’. Well, I guess the free delivery statement could actually be true 😂.
  6. Hi there. It could be the footswitch giving up, or it could be that a coupling capacitor is starting to go leaky and is letting DC current pass through. i.e. the pop that you're hearing is actually DC current going into your amp input, and out the speaker, when it should only get the AC current of your instrument signal. If you stomp the pedal on and off several times in a row, does the click/pop lessen? Is it worse when the pedal has just been powered on, and less noticeable after it's been running for a while? If so, it could be a capacitor. If not, the footswitch could be the culprit.
  7. This guy has featured on here before, looks like another cheapy remodelled into a "custom built" bass: Not quite MDP levels of insanity but still a bit off. Would be interesting to get a clearer pic of the neckplate on that black P bass as I can't make out where it was made.
  8. Yes, the CT200 is fine. I got it to do speakons, but frankly, I haven't really had an issue with that so that one stays at home. I find the CT200 requires you to think about what you are seeing, it isn't as instant so the CT100 is the one that travels everywhere.
  9. Bump for price reduction! How does £120 sound? LOUD, that's how!
  10. ghouda vibrations - the beach boys
  11. To be fair, if it was a 4-string (there doesn't seem to be one) & £100-odd cheaper, it could be the basis for an interesting project.
  12. Understandable...
  13. Bump
  14. Premium gig bag that came with a recent purchase and surplus to requirements. Loads of storage, serious padding, a really high quality gig bag. Please see the image that came from Bass Direct and is approx. 1 week old. I can take any additional photos you may need. £35.00 - I will need a postage quote but happy to ship in a BassBros box. Thanks,
  15. Feta Bottomed Girls - Queen
  16. Browsing GC's site, finally a Brexit bonus. In the years before GC blocked browsing from IPs in EU countries, that way they'd avoid rather hefty fines for selling your details to 3rd parties without permission.
  17. Fire Engine Red Leicester - Grid Ft. Zodiac Mindwarp and Robert Fripo.... TUNE!
  18. Pretty much like online shopping from supermarkets, order lemons or lemon juice and if they`re out of stock they send lemon scented bleach.

  20. Hi folks Parts draw clear out has revealed a brand new and unused Artec on-board overdrive/distortion/fuzz effect. More details here: https://www.artecsound.com/pickups/electronics/qdd.html I first came across these when I was following a series of modding threads by Low End Lobster about creating a Dark Ray bass for a fraction of the cost. So of course I bought one and promptly did nothing with it: Thanks for looking and here's a pic.
  21. Hi folks, here's a brand new set of EMG J pickups for your consideration. £100 collected or £110 posted to UK mainland by Special Delivery service Here are a couple of pics.:
  22. Went to see Nubiyan Twist at Tramshed Cardiff on Friday, by far the best gig I've been to for years! If you're not familiar with them, they're a collective that blends all kinds of influences including afrobeat, Latin, acid jazz, bass line, etc. Upbeat, fun and very very groovy! Nice small intimate venue, very mixed crowd, and we danced HARD all night! All the musicians were exceptional, some great solos from everyone on stage, especially the keys and brass players. I highly recommend catching them if you can. They were supported by Nookee and Webmoms who were both excellent too. Nookee were pretty unusual, but very good. It interested me as a player to see that when you step up to bigger venues than I play, you don't need much in the way off backline! Or people just aren't bothering much with it anymore. Guitarists all had small valve combos, and the two supporting bass players shared a rig, which was just a Warwick gnome head into a Markbass NY151. The bass player for Nubiyan Twist had a small GK MB combo, not sure what speaker config it was. Sound was excellent all night. In terms of basses, the guy from Webmoms was playing what looked to be a Player Precision in LPB, the guy from Nookee (who was probably the most inspiring player of the night) had a '51-style P bass type thing, very roadworn. We got chatting and he said it was 'made' by a guy called Daniel Giles in London. I looked at his page on Instagram, and I think it's kinda bitsa basses that he makes up and 'relics', but I could be wrong. Sounded great and looked cool anyways. And finally the chap from Nubiyan Twist had a Yamaha BB1025 in sunburst, strung with flats and played pick and palm muted. Sounded great, and the guy was a really solid player, nothing flashy but served the songs really well. It reinforced the fact that expensive, fancy gear isn't crucial, what matters is finding something that feels good in your hands and inspires you too play. And of course no one in the audience would care whether it's a Squier or a Fodera. It also made me slightly envious that we aren't at a level where we're playing venues with decent sound systems, and have to spend much more heavily on backline 😅
  23. Agree with most of this though first two Stranglers albums were with an early 60s (64?) p bass, yours pedantically…
