  1. Past hour
  2. I saw them many years ago in my youth with a friend who was a big fan, from what I can remember he was playing it just as in that video, very fast player
  3. I've got a couple of the Fazley version. Cracking little case, proper dinky 15" wide, great for the mini pedals with no batts. See yours inc. A 5 way daisy. Got Joyo Ironmen hiding in one of mine...
  4. I have a P bass that I've owned for some time now and never had this issue before, so why would it suddenly happen? It's not a slight buzz, it's a full blown rattle, I've checked with a metal straight edge over the three frets (6, 7, & 8), and there is no rocking, so they appear to be level. I've tried filing the next fret a little bit, I've tried adjusting the truss rod, and I've tried altering the bridge height, all to no avail. Any ideas on why I suddenly have fret buzz on just one fret? Thanks in advance.
  5. Not being a listener or player of anything metal related I've noticed this "good for metal" phrase being used a lot and I'm assuming its all tongue-in-cheek,Talkbass is where I first heard it. How did it all originate or is it just playful banter? Just curious ☺️
  6. You've just analysed all my composition work!
  7. I would love to believe that some studio trickery was employed and that Mr Watt-Roy’s efforts were ‘assisted’. But this video suggests maybe not: Back to the metronome…
  8. New addition
  9. The 2 MK1’s that are now forever connected!
  10. Did the first of a run of 4 gigs this week (tiring). Very cool little pub and was a fantastic gig. Got out of there at 12:30.
  11. Haha, that’s mine…(and I didn’t do this!) Long time ago I traded my MK3 fretless 5er for an MK1 fretless plus an extra fretless neck with British bassist Ian. the MK1 had a rosewood fretless fretboard and the extra neck was ebony. I swapped the necks because I prefer ebony for fretless. After the swap I contacted Ian again to ask where this neck came from. He also had the rest of this bass, the demolished body, electronics, pickups and bridge. He got this bass from some punk bassplayer who found it to heavy… so that guy cut it up..😬😳. I finally bought the parts together with the body and in 2011 I send all the parts plus the rosewood neck to Wal and had Paul build me a new body for it and had the rosewoodneck fretted. So now I have 2 MK1 basses. All this time this poor body is lying in my room and i can’t look at it. So i thought I’d give it a try and see if there’s someone brave and crazy enough to buy it and make something out of it… I have no idea if there’s someone who wants to pay for it anyway so I just started high … why not?
  12. Yup. Done the same thing. Sold a pair of PB70-US basses and kick myself daily for doing so. Especially the ash bodied one.
  13. Thanks Dave - it's always a blast, as we only play in town four times a year. The SLF always goes down the best - we've added Alternative Ulster this time, which will have them reaching for the Voltarol today......😲😆
  14. https://fusionbomb.lu/ Luxemburg's very own old school thrash metal band put on a spectacular show. Their bassist was rocking a Sandberg when I was at their show a couple of weeks ago.
  15. Today
  16. Great to see you are getting busy gigs there Mike. I miss the punk band a lot and a lot more than i would ever have thought coming from a Classic rock and Prog. So much energy and power in the songs i just loved playing them especially SLF. Shame it fell thru. Dave
  17. Such a lovely colour. Sherwood green is just ace. I almost always go for black or off-white, but Sherwood Green is amazing.
  18. And who could forget the wonderful Ishibashi! https://intl.ishibashi.co.jp/search?q=Fender&options[prefix]=last&filter.p.tag=electricbasses&sort_by=relevance I sourced my PB70US from them directly many a year ago. Another silly moment where I decided to sell it.. DOH!!!!
  19. Awesome entry level pedals up for grabs. Sonicake Octaver - a surprisingly good Boss OC2 clone, and an Amoon true bypass tuner. The tuner can emit a slight high pitched whine when in use but of course it's totally silent when off (True bypass) Both pedals in excellent condition, £25 for both!

  23. Yes. That is a bargain for what you're getting. GLWTS.
  24. Hi folks Just having a further clear out of my stuff and found these wiring harnesses. Both came out of my former Jet basses so pretty new and actually pretty decently made. Certainly not the on/off controls that often come with cheaper MIC basses. £12 each posted to UK mainland Happy to answer any questions. Here are some pics: Jet JPB-300 bass Jet JJB-300 bass
  25. Hi folks Parts draw clear out has revealed a brand new and unused Artec on-board overdrive/distortion/fuzz effect. More details here: https://www.artecsound.com/pickups/electronics/qdd.html I first came across these when I was following a series of modding threads by Low End Lobster and found this one about creating a Dark Ray bass for a fraction of the cost. So of course I bought one and promptly did nothing with it: Thanks for looking and here's a pic.
  26. Putting up my natural gloss Spector CST5 . I’ve got two of these wonderful basses and one of them isn’t getting enough playing time .Bought in October 2024 from Bassdirect it’s had minimal use and is in fantastic condition. It’s a stock bass so comes with EMGX pickups in a PJ configuration with Darkglass legacy preamp . Also a Spector gigbag is included.
