  2. Our drummer went to that gig, his mate was playing in Folk'd About. He was also checking out the venue as we're playing there this Friday. That is a very cool pose, I have hat envy too!
  3. I'm not sure about where Hartke is stocked but they are distributed by Hal Leonard here and it seems they have their own online store which I think might be called musicroom, could be wrong or it could maybe have been part of Samson Tech. I am a Hartke artist and I think my rig came from somewhere within the UK, when I needed a replacement amp they shipped it to me within 24 hours (turned out it was just the valve going)! Great amps and cabs. Really reliable (even with the dodgy tube it still sounded fine). The clarity is incredible, great for live gigs and I never feel the need to engage the tweeter to get the definition.
  4. Well our current album is The Seven Legged Groove Machine because at the time we were a 4-piece and the singer had recently had a motorcycle accident resulting in the lower half of his right leg being amputated. We’re now a 5-piece so the latest guy in worries about both legs. But in the areas we work in, well for some reason we’re on the psychobilly scene even though we’re more of a garage punk band, so our USP (and is on our merch) is The Spacewasters, Not Psychobilly Enough.
  5. Excellent Rat based distortion with a 2 band eq, one of my favourites.
  6. This is very true, but you need a starting point. I get instrumental and vocal sounds in the ball park individually and then make final adjustments with the whole band playing.
  7. Long and Winding Road - The Beatles
  8. "Delighted", that's where I like to be. I'm jealous of the pic, very cool. Daryl
  9. Sounds productive Dave. Daryl

  11. What separates your band from the other bands in the areas you work in ? What do you have that others don't ? If you were pitching your band to a prospect, what would be your bast selling point. You can also add in areas where you think your band struggles. Daryl
  12. I think that if we carry on improving at this rate we will be within touching distance distance of being mediocre! We have a name… Premium Economy!!!
  13. I’ve definitely never loosened the DI cable of a fellow band member so that their already-too-loud amp didn’t also get fed into the PA, and I most certainly never pushed the plug back in again at the end of the last set so that they didn’t know anything had happened. But seriously, if matey gets wind that his settings have been messed with, there will be tears before bedtime.

  24. Photo with covers and thumb rest fitted. Also a close up of the pickguard to show how similar it is to early 60's tortoishell.
