  2. Well, looks like you can do quite a lot with it. Maybe the one stop solution for gigging musicians? However, too much of an overkill for a bedroom player like me. Also too many buttons, switches, screens etc. So, I guess for me, the old school guy and hobbyist, I'll stick with ANALOG instead of ANAGRAM 😉
  3. By lightweight flightcase I mean something akin to the SKB iSeries - Almost all my gigs are fly aways - SKB iSeries cases are much lighter than my traditional plywood and metal angle flightcases (and have wheels as a bonus) - this is important for airline baggage allowances. I use an SKB iSeries for my EBMM Sterling and my Precisions - I believe they're not wide enough for a Schecter Corsair bass.
  4. Just a slight bump, I really don't want to start advertising this on ebay/reverb 😅 Happy to answer any questions of course.
  5. Perhaps a heavy-duty Gig bag for an acoustic bass would work , I use one for for my semi hollow ..... as for a " lightweight flight case " I wouldn't expect such a thing to exist ... i want my flight case made of depleted Uranium and Foam . I do have a "rebadged" hiscox hard case for my Status which is also semi hollow .... https://hiscoxcases.com/products/large-peardrop-bass-guitar-hard-case-pro-ii-spec
  6. I think the 1600 is essentially the bolt on neck version compared to the 3000's neck through build. not certain about all of the fine details, but from what I've seen the electronics etc are the same. Some I've seen listed with rosewood fingerboards rather than the ebony of the 2/3000 but others have stated ebony so not 100% on that. I think they're similarly elusive, not impossible to find, but they certainly don't seem to come up all that often. I belive (although prepared to be corrected) that the 1600 was also called the BBX for some time

  9. It's natural for the bridge J to have less output than a neck P. Set the pickup height by the sound rather than with your eyes. They are unlikely to sound good set to the same height. Don't be shy to have the J closer to the strings than the P.
  10. I also have this one for 15 years, just a great piece of gear
  11. Dan Giles is on here - @d_g I believe! Is Nick Richards still on Sax with Nubiyan Twist? Did a couple of gigs with him probably 15 years ago, ace player
  12. Hi again @chris_b I would of responded properly much sooner but I was working away. My reason to change... I felt that the 'P' part pf the originally fitted PJ was string to string uneven - yes, that should be easier to set the pick-up heights etc. but there was definitely an imbalance. I purchased a new P pick-up & removed the old one. On removal, the original 'P' had a wire squashed between the winding & the cover ... which could explain the unbalance. I fitted the new 'P' pick-up & the balance that was missing from the original pick-up was restored. Unfortunately the balance between the new 'P' & the 'J' pick-up is uneven (Doh !) So now I am thinking of fitting a 'matched' PJ set & was requiring info on what sets could be fitted to an active bass, hence the original post. I hope that is clear? Jason
  13. I do have a silver briefcase type thing to which I added foam that would nestle the desk and power cable nicely that I could throw in if that helps?
  14. Pete Bruntnell and the Cousins feat. Robbie Macintosh. They played a small pub, it wasn't a well advertised or particularly well attended, they are great musicians though and I think were playing it due to a local connection and general love of playing.

It looks like it'll land at over £1k, which is getting VERY close to Quad Cortex money. Is it comparable? Edit* Actually £899 https://www.andertons.co.uk/darkglass-anagram-bass-workstation/
