Tech advise on wiring bass cab tweeter
Phil Starr replied to patrikmarky's topic in Repairs and Technical
@BassmanPaul is almost certainly right. If you can identify the wires going in to the crossover then one is positive and one negative. Often positive is red and negative black. The crossover may be a complex affair with a separate circuit for the bass drivers and the horn but often is just a simple high pass filter that only affects the tweeter. Take some pics if you aren't sure and someone will advise how to connect everything. -

It could be rackmountable, I guess Ashdown would have to make a lid and ears for it though, its mounted in a wooden sleeve like most of their heads. I got a cover for it from https://www.hotcovers.co.uk/ its solid and keeps it safe. The notched controls aren't too bad, you could probably ask Ashdown to change them if you're buying direct

I think there's a whole lot more trickery, ranging from clever use of audio/video tech to outright AI-driven deception, in this space than perhaps is obvious as first site. The old 'modern singers can't sing' idea (beneficiaries or victims of pitch correction, you decide....), I get the impression it's increasingly the case with musicians also

went to see a mate's band last night Smallish pub. Bass player was using Ampeg SVT and a marshall 8x10 I got up to play a few Beatles numbers, wow the bass was a bit lively

yea but when they rupt then we have to bail them out...

I have no idea how this all works. The YouTube thing sort of passes me by, but this is properly dodgy. I did wonder how they managed to execute such note perfect stuff. Turns out it’s all BS.

Finally, someone says what we all knew already

It definitely seems ironic for Global Radio (Capital, Heart, Gold) to be complaining about repetitive poor quality music. - Today

You are probably correct but without the whole story it's impossible to know. Any number of misfortunes could have befallen a family member and not made public. It could be a bigger than usual bump in the road. The 10th anniversary jam was a night not to be missed. Two whole drumsets bass rigs etc etc so no breaks and an unholy all-in jam for the last hour. -
Everything about this guy is just dull, his playing, his talking, his business model, his apology, as @risingson comment, he epitomises the soullessness of the whole internet music thing

That white Joyo looks great. Yes, the Boss one has a few additional features, but nothing I would miss and this one has bass and guitar amp models already. I hadn't seen this one at the time, otherwise I'd have probably bought one too The Caline looks funky...
